Novusordo:
Incredibly amazing statements you did.
The fact is that it was Aoun himself who said that, and for once I was one of the listeners !
Concerning the people loving Aoun, I called them a fan club in a very nice topic I opened (search for the topic and read it... there were very interesting replies there). (The topic is called: Political Party or Fan Club)
Concerning leadership, we all know that there are administrative and organisational needs that have to be fulfilled, starting by this forum (imagine it with neither admin nor mods; it wouldn't have been created aslan).
So if you were FPM, you're not following Aoun. If you think otherwise, then it means you are here writing for "X" and the moderators and not for the forum. Is this true ? I dont think so... so why should it be true there ?
Concerning Aoun as the leader, you all know it was a de-facto + I agree on all what Zehlawi said (very well elaborated)!

As someone said, i dont think anyone would follow Aoun if he changed his principles. Which differs him from other "leaders", whose parties follow them wherever they go.
As for Aoun, Leadership is necessary for organizational purposes. If u do not have leadership, one will emerge. Its just the nature of political work.
General AOun has been tried, and has emerged a Hero. That makes him a symbol for those people. His stand rallies people around their hopes and dreams, and gives them confidence.
No matter how good hearted an unknown group of peple with the same principles may be, it cannot achieve that, specially since in lebanon you dont have free media, so its very hard for people that are unknown to spread their word. | | | | | Registered Member

well
if there is no leaders there is no ideas specially that the ideas we are talking about was created and launched by Michel Aoun
so if we put pics it is not only a pic it has a background meaning
k? so ideas are good but leadres are better i think so no matter if we follow a leader or ideas but whats important is to get the target

guys, i did not deny that GA was the one who launched the ideas, but remember,m we are all human, and humans make mistakes, we all do. im not sayin that he made mistakes, but GA is very well capable of doin something wrong. Remember, men make mistakes, pronciples are always what they were at the beginning.

And make no mistake, im not denying GA's position as founder and leader of the FPM, but will he always be? if something happens to him in the future that makes him incapacitated, do you think that the FPM will no longer exist? Or will you be waving his pics around for the next century? the idea i wanted to get to is that we should eliminate the idea of forever standing leaders, and think bigger, think PRINCIPLES! | | | | | Registered Member

Yes, we must not follow any leader, we can follow its ideology and the way he think but not him directly | | | | | Orange Room Supporter

Novusordo:
We all here agree with you !
Concerning the people who will "politically die" as soon as Gen. Aoun is incapable, then it's their problem. Bel 3akes I will be happy that they go away la2anno we will be then people who all really carry the same principles of Aounism (the real ones !) and work for them with no problems.
By the way, I have a second idea:
Usually people follow a leader because he provides "privileges" to them (money, jobs, security, ...etc). And I guess all these are completely not available in FPM and you know it very well.
