It's quite unnerving to see a supposedly secular MP defending and supporting Salafists. But like everything that looks "secular" in this country, the ugliness of sectarianism is deeply entrenched. Ahdab can defend criminals, that's not the problem. The issue is that he's defending the worst kind of sectarian mentality, which is why he will win the elections.
