Is it a church which don't have the right to say a word whenever it sees something wrong? Well Dear Mr. Patriarch I was told by our lord Jesus Christ to stand up for what is right:
Is it a church where only the criminals and the thugs are welcomed in and the normal people don't have a place in it just for the simple reason of speaking their minds and tell their opinion?
Or maybe you want to be the head of a church which forgets its Martyrs (Bishop Khreish) and ally with their killers?
Dear Mr. Patriarch the church belongs to the people, the church is the people. You can enjoy your appointment as the head of the church for over 23 years now, but that doesn't mean you won the heart of the people, and that doesn't mean you won the heart of the church. You surpassed everything acceptable, way beyong the
Regardless if you were to blame or not, one fact remains the same. Under your 23 years rule dear Mr. Patriarch, the Christians suffered the worst times in their history, this is what will be written about you. What have you done about it?
What have you done about the Christian militias which were fighting and killing each other in the first years of your appointment?
What have you done about the Chrsitian militias that turned to fight the Lebanese army under your eyes?
What have you dont about the Taef agreement that took away most of the Christians' rights in the government?
What have you done about the years of prosecution that the Lebanese Christians endured during the Syrian era?
What have you done to over a million christian immigrating away form Lebanon under your eyes?
Were you busy taking sides with one group against the others? Is that how a patriarch should behave as the head of his community? Or maybe you were busy receiving everyday tens of personalities, who used your historical Bkerke podium to throw all kinds of nonesense on our ears, to say the least. You allowed criminals, thugs, thieves, warlords and murderers to use our historical Bkerke to play their own dirty game.
Is that the church you want to excommunicate me from?
Well I don't belong to it anyway. A lot of your priests don't belong to it as well. I hear it everyday from them. It is not out of resepct to you that they are not revolting against you yet, but it is only out of respect to the history of our Maronite church. Everyday they are sending complaints to the Vatican, I wonder how long it will take still til you hear from them.
Our church is the church of justice, love and forgiveness, your church is the church of the thieves, criminals and warlords.
Our church is the church of unification, your church is the church of division.
I was all my life a proud maronite and I am still one, proud of my history, proud of my saints, proud of my historical leaders. You will not be the one to make me feel shame from belonging to my sect, I won't allow this to you, Dear Mr. Patriarch! |
Hey GMAFOREVER
The Patriarch Sfeir is the head of the Maronite church. With his position comes responsibilities that surpass leading mass and giving sermons. Those responsibilities include ensuring the churches sustainability, particularly in our region where christianity is a dirty word. Ensuring the churches sustainability requires taking stances that may contradict those of certain congregation members.
Irrespective of whether you agree or disagree with his views towards the direction he finds appropriate for his congregation, such views demand respect. If not respect for the patriarch as an individual, respect for his position as the head of the church.
The more you and others attack the Patriarch, the more you hinder your chances of gaining popularity because a majority of Lebanon's christians still go to church, and respect his views, and dispize those who show descent
