FPMers, what will you do if Aoun did the visit to Bkerki? How will you explain your retreat in attacking Bkerki?
Your problem is that you: deyman ma to7fazo khat el raj3a.

Peace!
no big deal ya man

having issue with the batrak is not BLASPHEMY...u need to get that
also, vsiting him shows the world who is the better christian amongst.
we live & practice our christianity ( love forgivness, open heart, mend fences)..

actually it will make the batrak in bad light, that here u r abusing all these christians and they still respect your seat and THE RELIGIOUS MANTKE YOU HAVE

sarett al ha2ee2a btejra7???????
Yeaaa and just about every Lebanese and every Maronite must have misunderstood Sleiman also. What a coincidence...

and seriously if you read any number of threads concerning the Patriarch you will find countless of insults from aounists/franjiyests + HA&Amal partisans. This is not my opinion. This is a fact.

So what you're trying to sell us is that Ra3i mentioned the excommunication threat because of SF's insult of Sfeir more than a year past and because he read attacks against Sfeir on the Orange Room. I have a couple of questions:

- why did Ra3i and Sfeir suddenly remember to punish SF after more than a year? did they forgive him back then only to have Jesus appear in their dreams and advise them to punish the blasphemer?

- Is the church now so caught up in petty politics that it felt it had to reply to statements issued on an internet forum? This is what Almighty Bkerke has been turned to?

And now a real question: Excommunication is reserved for major religious infractions. How do political attacks/insults/etc... against Sfeir constitute as a major violation of the Christian faith to a level that their spokesmen warrant a religious ban?

Did you forget what happened few weeks ago after the Masira interviews and even Nabil Nicholas wanted the Patriarch to stop interfering in politics?
Now the whole point that you wanna proof is that they are doing this for the elections?
I thought the Patriarch is a senile old man with 0 influence.

Wow! Nabil N2oula's demand merits excommunication?

I could care less why they are doing so (although it is surely election related). What I am mostly interested in is that the Maronite Church still has medieval mentality and threatens to excommunicate anyone who's attacking its patriarch for interfering in matters which are none of his business (and that's according to Jesus Christ himself not me nor N2oula nor GMA), while the previous pope even forgave the man who tried to assassinate him.

He is, although he still got "some" influence, though nothing to be afraid of.
Now, your point?

And while you're at it, how about you answer the questions present in the post you quoted? as long as you're writing, might as well be useful.

So now if someone asks the patriarch to stop interfering in politics he deserves excommunication? What is next, witch hunt??

The patriarch is a senile old man indeed, but we don't want Bkirki, the historical site, to be brought down to this low level never seen before.

The patriarch is not Bkirki, the patriarch is not the church.

Seriously, why do people bother? These two people represent the worst of what can come out from the mix of Church meddling with politics and Middle Eastern mind-set...

How can we "convert" from maronite to generic (i.e. Latin) Catholic
