FPM had an excellent electoral program back in 2005. it goes beyond saying that the program itself was not carried out mainly because FPM was in the opposition and didn't have any executive powers.
today the LF's official website published the FPM's program in full; in an attempt to contrast the 2005 plans against the reality of FPM in 2008.
a copy of the program should be redistributed on FPM's ministers and parliament members, they should all in their power not just to live up to it, but to actually exceed it whenever possible, each in his own ministry or field.
the electoral program should be revived before our rivals get the oportunity to strike at it in their media, even though i think it is too late for that now, judging by publishing the program on the LF's website.
FPM should not let its voters down, we have a golden opportunity to set an example in the ministries, our ministers should be closely watched and strongly prevented from becoming like their counterparts in the government. for the next 7 month, they should be working day in and day out to prove that they are up to the task and that FPM can really provide a positive change, otherwise FPM will really succomb towards becoming just another lebanese party.
the accomplishment of FPM overall, especially the ones to be implemented in the ministeries and their corresponding administration must be detailed and listed online, contrasted with FPM's electoral program, to list what's been achieved and what has yet to be completed. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Dark Angel For This Useful Post: | | | Orange Room Supporter

- most of the participants are usually none voters
instead of wasting time and energy, it would be much more efficient to collect questions from the members over a given period of time (several weeks or months) and then submit them to the potential candidates to provide their own answers to the issues being addressed. threads can be subdivided either under individual candidates or under cazas. | | | | | Orange Room Supporter

This is what most of us have voted for in 2005... we haven't heard of it after the elections. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to CedarLb For This Useful Post: | | | Registered Member

Good ideas!
The main obstacle remains time management. LFPM supporters abound around the world, but they're mostlly overworked professionals and students, often living under pressure from work, and without the support they would get if they lived at home. The solution for this time crunch is the populist approach: having many people available to do the work that one person would have done. We need to engineer to E-campaign using the populist approach, meaning that there needs to be a stock of writers that web-developers can always turn to, to develop the content of their websites. This is more free flowing that the rigid assignments, of making some people in charge of some websites. It's a more ego-free method too. It's like the difference between the classic encyclopedia and wikipedia. There are no specific glorified author in wikipedia, but it also got developed very fast and effortlessly, because of all of those who were free to contribute.
My suggestion for the E-campaign X has so well summarized, is that members of the Orange room (and maybe of other venues?) consider themselves a pool of authors, and web or media editors can come here and post invitations for these authors to contribute. Let's say an web-developer is helping develop a defamation site, she can come here and post: "can anyone help write a chronology of years 2005-2008"? or "can anyone help me gather examples of religious segregation by the Lebanese gov in the past 15 years?", etc...
If she is working with 3 co-authors, chances are they'll be too busy to answer right away. If she instead can turn to a whole pool of authors, work will be more free-flowing and the E-campaign more successful. It will be up to the authors to remain anonymous or be acknowledged for their contributions.
what does everyone think? Quote:

This time around we have to organize things and make sure the online campaign is in parallel with FPM's general campaign.
There are things that cant be done online, but there are also things that can only be done online, so the e-campaign will be a special case and will be handled by people who are aware of the latest internet technology (tayyar.org staff), but we (the tayyar.org staff) will need as much as help FPMers can offer us. Each one of you can be part of the e-campaign.
So i will list the things that will be part of the e-campaign with all the details, if you have any further suggestions, please share them with us.
1 - tayyar.org - The staff of tayyar.org will be in chare but we are open to suggestions.
2 - The Orange Room - Those who were on the Forum in 2005 can remember how important the Forum was, this time around it will be the same and more, I have many ideas on my mind and will introduce them by time, but I want to listen to your suggestions and ideas too (for example we can invite our candidates to the Forum and interview them).
3 - A Blog - I will reopen lfpm.org soon, it will be a WordPress blog, those who are familiar with Blogs will have to help me, the Blog will not be officially affiliated with FPM, so we will have the freedom to say whatever we want, but the Blog will be 100% behind FPM and will be promoting FPM, but it won't be a traditional Blog with thousands of boring words, the Blog will have different sections, things like youtube videos (someone will be in charge of finding videos on youtube and adding them to the Blog), caricature (someone will be in charge of adding comments on pictures and present them as caricatures), sarcastic articles (basically to make fun of our opponents) in addition to serious articles about the elections (so those who are interested in becoming writers on the blog please contact me).
4 - Facebook - unfortunately, the Facebook is completely unorganized, there are hundreds of groups related to FPM, none is official, and if we don't organize it, there will be hundreds of groups related to the elections. So what we are going to do is open one group related to the elections and promote it, so those who are active Facebook users will have to help us, again contact me in private if you are interested and use this thread for suggestions.
5 - Youtube - 2 things related to Youtube, 1 - Videos we should add on Youtube and 2 - Videos on Youtube we should spread around (using the blog for example), so we need people who can create videos and upload them to Youtube (the videos can be taken from TVs or your own work). And we need people who will scan YouTube and bring interesting videos to spread around.
6 - Media Defamation and Websites - We should follow what is happening online, be aware of what is going on around us, but this should be done in an organized way, we don't want to unintentionally promote our opponents and their websites, but in the same time we have to be aware of what they are doing so we counter them.
If you have any other thing that can be added to the list above, please post in this thread, we as tayyar.org staff can not do the above on our own, we need people to volunteer and help us. We have time but the sooner we start our e-campaign, the better.
So don't sit around waiting for others to come forward, if you are an active online user and want to be part of FPM's campaign, contact me (or use this thread) and let's start working. | | | | | | Registered Member

please let us create a war room to answer and rebottle any news about us
also that room should be coordinating all the responses with all our media arms, OTV, SAWT, Tayyar, Forum.
with special contacts and info mails for selected members to send real time info and get directives on waht to do from that room.
also a site to direct the members and supporters which areas they might be needed and how.
this should help us better with logistics and with being on the ground more effectively.
i would suggest line a hot donation line , but was told it is illegal in lebanon to do that. | | | | | | |
