Sfeir is pro-M14 and what he likely meant by "one side pushing it forward" must have been that the parliamentary majority is moving the country forward while the opposition is doing just the opposite, presumably and according to him that is
What I questioned in my post was the rationale on which Sfeir based his statement. How has M-14 moved the country forward? Did it do so by alienating Christians and Shiites, cancelling Christian Holidays, and being indifferent to the economic and social demands of Lebanese citizens?
If Sfeir considers such political agenda a one that would move the country forward, despite being the wrong direction, wouldn't then the opposition's pull of this "carriage" and country in the opposite direction become a national duty to prevent further damage?
