Default The Christians Since Sfeir Became the Patriarch - 23rd July 2009

The Christians in Lebanon since Sfeir has become the Patriarch are like a carriage with one horse pushing it forward and one pushing it backward.

Therefore, Needfortruth recommends that P. Sfeir and his minority Christian representatives since 1989 to sit back relax and let the winning Christian majority represent the community and take care of its affairs.

(PS – in regards to the many anticipated retarded counter arguments, and I know this may come as a surprise to many, the Armenians are Lebanese and Christians too).

actually ur statement is wrong

The Christians in Lebanon since Sfeir has become the Patriarch are like a carriage "with 2 horses" with "not" one "but two" horses pushing it backward from behind

if u want to quote the guy quote him right and i changed some for my own opinion

and he is the two horses i dont mean mo3arada and mouwalat (it has nothing to do with him, fati7 3a 7sabo el zalami)

Icon10 Can't Help But Laugh Everytime this Old Fart Speaks - 23rd July 2009

If one side, the majority, is pulling it in the wrong direction, wouldn't the opposition's pull in the opposite direction become not just a fact but a national duty?

Is this guy still talking about the horses taking the government in opposite directions ??? what directions he likes to take the government to ? that of Jumblat who wants to sideline the Christians from every decision ?? I have never seen in my life such a stubborn creature, is he blind to see how Hariri and Jumblat are approaching HA. Maybe he is right using the horses example because he is the Troy horse by excellence

Nothing pleases me more than seeing this man ignored by every single Christian in the opposition I salute every C&R MP especially the Maronite ones for boycotting this traitor and not wasting their time visiting him. Sooner or later, a new dawn will come to the Maronite Church, and hopefully with this new day we can dream of a uniter that puts the Christians back on their feet !!

I hate to bring to you, but the Maronite church establishment has been tainted by clergy such as B. Sfeir since they start recording their history. read Goubran's view of them and you will get the same view that probably many here can closely relate to!

and do you think Bchara el Ra3i would be better than his predecessor? prepare yourselves
for another 25-30 years of a new corrupt clergy generation. The only way to punish them
is to convert and personally I have put serious thinking into it...

Actually this is a great idea, we can start a big conversion movement to force Sfeir to resign and his successor to be more reasonable !! I suggest we convert to the Melkite Catholic Church for the following reasons:

1- Patriarch Laham is a respectable guy, he never interfered in politics and never took sides, nor he caused troubles for his community. Also past Ctaholic Patriarchs were never that influent in political life.

2- It won't be such a big transition because Catholics are closer to Maronites than Orthodox. Heyk we remain under the Vatican umbrella.

3- We won't follow Patriarch Hazim who lives in Damascus and may one day be influenced by the Syrian regime. Nor we have to follow Bishop Aoudeh and vote for nayla for the next 50 years

4- After the conversion, we do na2el noufouss to Zahle to balance the demographic change Hariris we doing for the past decade and claim back the capital of the Catholicism, ye3neh 2 pour 1

Yalla guys let us start working on this seriously and keep the Troy horse of Bkerke sitting alone in his palace

Convert to what? Clergy are similar in all sects, look at Aoudeh or Hazim, they are as bad as Sfeir if not worse. This class cares about money, power, fame and human glory more than the interest of their parish; they are all made of the same fabric.
