Nothing that a visit from Daoud Sayegh cannot resolve. Its almost end of the month anyway.

Jade, your legitimate questions should be scrutinized closely. The first one is not addressed in the reported news and thus no information on the proportional number between Christian vs. Muslim who applied. However, one can speculate that enough Christians applied for the number of corresponding vacant positions.

Second Q, could be answered partially from the reported news and from precedent done by FM in different ministries. FYI, this high success rate from one political group is also observed in various state depts., who coincidently managed by the same political group, regardless of the sect of the applicants. It happened that FM has in Beirut less Christian beneficiaries than that in different areas, i.e. north.

as for equality, I would say that an independent committee must be responsible of preparing the exams and provide confidential venue of delivery and then selection will be fair across all the board.
To summon up there are precedents by FM infusing their followers, sympathizers, and beneficiaries into various government positions since 1993. A rudimentary comparison between then and now could provide a clearer perception about this issue.

Ok let's be clear on some things here.

The questions I asked were not to defend the FM and I didn't take into consideration the cheating allegations on purpose.

What you gave me here is pure speculation and analysis, and it made me think of a very real case that happens in Canada.

For example, a lot of Canadians keep complaining that most of the workers at Mc Donald's are immigrants, so they accuse the latter of stealing their jobs.

But the real thing here, it's that Canadians don't even apply to these jobs, because they want to be better paid.
So, no one told them not to apply, the immigrants came and seized the opportunity.

Another example is also about the jobs, but on a larger scale.
Same thing, Canadians complaining about the immigrants stealing their jobs.
After some studies and statistics, it showed that the immigrants are usually more educated than the Canadians (more educated, as in there's a bigger ratio of people holding diplomas in the immigrant community).

So, if the Canadians are not finding jobs, it's not because the others are stealing them, it's because they made the choice not to study enough.

And this might very well be the case here.....as it might not.
And that's why I think it's important to have these numbers before organizing a real accusation.
At least the case would be stronger with these numbers and facts

But that isnt the same case in Lebanon. See I lived in Canada and I live here and I applied over a thousand jobs here and most of those jobs are not giving to christians in Lebanon. In Canada, when I finish my degree, the next Monday I had 3 jobs offers. Here its been 1 year I am applying and absolutly nothing. In once I went to give my resume to a very known bank I had the person after she heard my christian name, refusing to take my resume and the next thing I know she was hiring muslims over christians. So what can you do about that? Complaining, talk about it, make it heard ...

You can't work in a bank or anywhere in Lebanon if you don't have wasta. This applies to all regardless of their sect or religion.

I know that, but this bank was taking applications and I had a reference from someone in a high position in that bank, but after I went and the person who met me on the HR door, when she heard my name, she refused to take my resume from me. That's called Racism
