It was clear since 1992 to whom Beirut belongs. The so-called Christians who were upset at this fact for the last 17 years unfortunately did not rise to the occaision during the last elections. So let's quit whining and cheer Hariri on.

I just want to say that what is written on tayyar.org is true because i spoke to one friend of mine last week about the same issue. It happened to him so it is happening. No one ownes beirut. Beirut is for all as all religions are in this city.

Why you don't come and go downtown? But you incites others to do civil unrest.

we have elected mp and its their job to look for our people.
also the aggrieved ones will be also there
and if it stays long enough i WILL DEFINITELY JOIN like i did during the glorious sit in in DT.

finally , from our past distant and recent history of events, the shooting will be one way, from ze3ran 14shbatt towards us.
only this time aorund, we will have the army protecting us, or REJALL AL 3AZIMMA if the army fails to.

as long as we are not taking any action, nothing will change.

it is a lost cause...

in order to fix anything, you will need very strong media campaign and there are so many similar changes happening.... Hariri teams work very diligently and quietly...

they have set rules and clear aims.... the issue of Christians in Beirut Municipality is not new.. it has been going on for several years..

another example of how quietly and effectively they work is to look at Ghassan Saoud article from few days ago.. he was talking about the economic committees in Lebanon and how they are now all controlled by Hariri...

i know their octopus tentacles are spread all over

STILL WE CAN WIN THIS ONE, if we raise the stakes and our MP and media got involved

we will just make them embarrassed and they will give something, same like we did with the good friday.
this issue is a good political cause that we can win.
I HOPE FPM WILL DO A SIT IN AND GIVE IT A SHOT.
we can get a huge mileage out of it

I learned many lessons from the 13th of October, and one of the most important things I always keep in mind is not taking any action to get back your right, even if it is a lost action, then it will legitimate whatever the loss of your right

so, even if we know upfront that nothing will change, we need to start taking an action.

How proud I am of the fact that in few years, my daughter will proudly claim that she is a "Haririyeh" instead of a "lebneniyeh".

Kasak ya watan.

17 Christians and 55 Muslims, total 72

17/72 = 24% which is about right.
