technically in any country diversification is healthy but only in Lebanon if a sect is not united then it is doomed....so the christians split is very unhealthy and leads to self destruction, moreover the moronite church is one to be blamed for such a split by supporting criminals and mass murderers.

There always should be a group to put "bad people" in it, and another group to put good ones in. For example, in this forum there's the "banned usergroup" for those who create troubles (a la zouzou 2ebba), and "Registered members usergroup" for the ones who like to wrote their opinions in a civilized way.

Diversity is great for Lebanon.

P.S: We can always "unban" users and move them to the good group.

The truth is we saw in the elections in 09 that the christians vote was nearly equally divided between GMA and feb14. GMA received about 52% and Feb14 got 48% of the christian vote. Unlike the shia/sunni/druze sects who massively voted for HA & AMAL/FM/WJ respectively. I see this division as disastorous. They should meet with one another and discuss various issues. They should be on the same page. The problem is that NOW if SG wins then 50% of the christians have lost and vice versa. This is the problem which you don't have in the other sects.

As the Patriach told them Iran will rule them, just tell the Christians Samir Geagea will be ruling their areas again and 90% will vote for Aoun :)

1. Make the presidency completely a ceremonial position
2. Rotate the positions of President, PM, and Speaker amongst the three largest sects
3. Give the three major sects equal numbers of seats in parliament, with some seats reserved to larger minorities and a couple of seats rotated amongst all much smaller minorities
4. Revise electoral laws so that each sect votes exclusively for his parliament members, no matter the districting
1-why single out the presidency, not including the other two positions?
2- implement a mechanism to monitor and insure no abuse of power by any position. This will prevent the opportunists from seizing their power to advance benefits for their own sect at other sects expenses.
3- i thought this prop. was allegedly stained to GMA as bad initiative by 14 febers?? are they up to accept it now?
4- this will hamper your first three propositions, eventually.

I propose cutting the terms for ALL positions to 3 years and rotating them between the three major sects.
Or the President taking power back that he deserves and leave them as it is.

Each christian group has zero influence on events in Lebanon. If you add them together you still get a zero.

I'm not a Christian, but I can say that Christian political division is not a blessing at all, l'unite fait la force. A sect which is not united in a sectarian country risks being eaten by the other sects, sad but true.

No division is a blessing, neither among sects nor among a single sect. Had the Lebanese all been Hindu, the country would've been heaven; but that's not reality, reality is that they're divided even among a single house. That country is cursed, I doubt they'll ever be a proper country called Lebanon, it'd need a miracle

Strange you say that. Their influence is strong enough for any country to think twice before attacking Lebanon. I don't want to imagine what would've happened had there not been a Christian intervention and power in the country. Let's not even take our imagination there...
