A major dig & dump like that - man once more forcing himself on nature, leads to no good consequences. Hay general rule always applies. And a project on the coast = pollution surely. to say the least.

Money can go to shape up other touristic areas already existing, no need to add this crime in the middle of our nice coast.

This kind of foreign investment is indeed a HIGHLY risky one and if the economic crisis teaches anything, is that one must watch out who we sell Lebanese property to, and who are we borrowing money from. not hek any rich Arab especially if they are Hariri & US related. Check who the owners of this Noor holdings is... KSA all over it.

I also absolutely agree we need not become slaves to regional project ideas - coz others have 'em.. yay ya mami.. we want that too.

They are a desert indeed - we have a beautiful Lebanon by nature and would like to keep it this way : natural.

Why aren't the Administrators of this forum making this issue in a sticky thread? Why is no one in Lebanon, including FPM voicing their opinions & objections to this?

Or is this already a done deal?

Forgetting about the environmental and cultural damages... do the investors in question arise any kind of question or we only oppose them politically but do economical plans together?

This is the most ridiculous thing that ever happened to Lebanon.

People do that and by people I mean Dubai, because they have no nature, no nothing.
We have one of the most beautiful countries in the world and now some industrialists are gonna come and turn our coastline into this piece of **** ???

Hey how about we invest in cocaine, Heroin and other drug plants ??

These could create jobs and would get a lot of money to our country.

This is a ridiculous assessment of the situation. There is no plus value other than creating 50 000 jobs (most of them temporary).

Jobs that could be created somewhere else with less investments.

This is destroying our ecosystem and Lebanon's natural beauty.
That's the problem with us lebanese, we want fast solutions, right here, right now, and we don't think about the future of our country..

This is sad, I really hope this project gets stopped ASAP

Agreed. this project will add another problem to the stockpile of environmental issues facing Lebanon. Patriotic entrepreneurs should invest in long lasting projects that could lessen the migration of Lebanese talents rather than more concrete jungle. Lebanon has many things that are not running well; actually most things are not running well. It is like someone who is dirty and did not have a bath for a long time, and you dress him with fancy clothes!!

why do i feel so stupid liking this project?!? everyone in here is like "NO" and I'm like why not lol!!

I have one problem the khalejiye must not buy anything in it like houses or anything! it should be Lebanese 100% w saad l harire also can not buy half of it! the same way his father did with solider! he destroyed people's houses! and stole the money!! w ba3den half of our trees got burned last year! before they plan to built a "fake" cedar let them fix what was gone first!

I may change my mind! but now I find it interesting!
