The refugee matter is being downplayed and trivialized, while it is the main point of conflict between us & Israel, and is a matter dear to every Lebanese.
The voice on this must be heard by the ones we are going to elect, and their 2 cents of how they will address this should be solicited.
How would you vote for this matter's resolution, and why?

الانسان لا يجب ان يتخلى عن ارضه فليحسنوا خياراتهم السياسية | | | | | The Following 3 Users Say Thank You to elhorr For This Useful Post: | | | Orange Room Supporter

option 5
Deport the palestinian refugees to one or some of our affulent neigbouring islamic countries like the UAE, Quatar, Kuwait, Libya , Saudia Arabia, or Iran.
It would be a win win situation.
1- We are tired of fighting, and its time someone else had a go. We are the weakest militarily, so why should we be the permanant forefront of the Islamic resistance.
2- They can provide a better standard of living for their muslim brothers and sisters, who have been living in squaller for over half a century.
3- many of those countries have a high influx of migrants from all over the world to keep up with thier labour demands, so , by giving priority to their fellow palestinians, not only are they supporting their fellow arabs, but they are also reducing the demographic shift that is occuring in places like uae and quatar, where the bangladeshis, indians and pakistanis almost outnumber the local arabs.
It is the only viable and practical solution. All other solutions will be at the expence of the Lebanese people. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Greg Davis For This Useful Post: | LiNk (24th December 2008) | | Registered Member

It also means that 3rd generation will automatically get lebanese nationality.
It's just naturalization, but a few years later..

any option that doesnt mean they will stay here is good for me.
going back to palestine should be great but really difficult for all of them to go back, plus i believe they should be offered something much better than this as an alternative for those who don't want to return to palestine.
such a monetary compensation and nationality in one of many countries of their choosing (lebanon not on the list of course)
i dont think all of them feel the urge to go live in the hell that is palestine if they can go somewhere else and get compensated for it. but at any rate, we need to see international offers, we need to see flexibility from israel and we need to see responsibility from the palestenians themselves. no one should force anything up on them. but this matter should be resolved. israel and the arabs have a lot of richs and connections that can be used to fix this instead of bombing the palestenians and starving them to death daily. | | | | | Registered Member

Since the Lfer hate the guts of the palestinians and since the LFer hate to be in the same place with palestinians and since the LF can not prevent anything and nobody gives a sh** about their demands, I suggest to exchange the palestinians with LF. i.e Palestinians in LFer out. I am a fierce opponent to naturalization whereas this issue will lead to them not going back to palestine and regain their stolen land but I am ready to accept naturalization if and only if in exchange for LFers leaving this country. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Observer For This Useful Post: | Dalzi (26th December 2008) | | Orange Room Supporter

I like when some people say that they are tired of fighting while all they were ever good at is nagging.
In the meantime, those who are really fighting never ask or complain about anything. | | | | | | | Tags | agree, case, defense, give, israel, lebanon, palestinians, permits, referendum, refugees, residence, strategy | |
