Break the Silence of 94 Years!

In April of 1915 tens of thousands of Armenian men were rounded up and shot. Hundreds of thousands of women, old men and children were deported south across the mountains to Cilicia and Syria. On April 15 the Armenians appealed to the German Ambassador in Constantinople for formal German protection. This was rejected by Berlin on the grounds that it would offend the Turkish Government. By April 19 more than 50,000 Armenians had been murdered in the Van province.

Within nine months, more than 600,000 Armenians were massacred. Of the deported during that same period, more than 400,000 perished of the brutalities and privations of the southward march into Mesopotamia. By September more than a million Armenians were the victims of what later became known as the Armenian Genocide! A further 200,000 were forcibly converted to Islam to give Armenia a new Turkish sense of identity and strip the Armenian people of their past as the first Christian state in the world.

The Ottoman Empire should be cleaned up of the Armenians and the Lebanese. We have destroyed the former by the sword, we shall destroy the latter through starvation. When the Turkish authorities gave the orders for these deportations, they were merely giving the death warrant to a whole race; they understood this well.

If nations are allowed to commit genocide with impunity, to hide their guilt in a camouflage of lies and denials, there is a real danger that other brutal regimes will be encouraged to attempt genocides. Unless we speak today of the Armenian genocide and unless the Government recognizes this historical fact, we shall leave this century of unprecedented genocides with this blot on our consciences.

العثمانيون عام 1915 بالتذرع بأن الأرمن تحالفوا مع الروس
للإستقلال بدولتهم فقاموا بما بات يعرف اليوم مذابح الأرمن التي راح ضحيتها أعداد كبيرة من الأرمن و بعضاً من الطوائف المسيحية الأخرى كالسريان و الكلدان و الآشوريين و غيرهم. تعتبر مذبحة الأرمن ثاني أكبر قضية عن المذابح بعد الهولوكست. إلى الآن توجد العديد من المنشآت التذكارية التي تضم بعض رفات ضحايا المذابح و يذهب إليها الأرمن كل سنة للتذكار.

بداية الأزمة
بدأت القضية في عهد السلطان عبد الحميد الثاني، إذ قالت الدولة العثمانية أن روسيا قامت بإثارة الأرمن الروس القاطنين قرب الحدود الروسية العثمانية، فبدأت بتحريضهم وإمدادهم بالمال والسلاح والقيام بتدريبهم في أراضيها وتشكيل الجمعيات المسلحة من أمثال خنجاق و طشناق. وقدمت بريطانيا دعماً قوياً لتلك المنظمات كذلك لأنها كانت تريد تفتيت الدولة العثمانية . حتى أن الزعيم المصري مصطفى كامل يقول في كتابه المسألة الشرقية: "فالذين ماتوا من الأرمن في الحوادث الأرمنية إنما ماتوا فريسة الدسائس الإنكليزية" .

وكان قبول الدولة العثمانية إقامة دولة أرمنية في مركزها (في الولايات الستة في شرقي الأناضول) وفي مناطق يشكل المسلمون فيها الأكثرية بمثابة عملية انتحارية للدولة العثمانية. إذ كان عدد الأرمن –حسب الإحصائيات العثمانية والأجنبية كذلك– يتراوح بين مليون ومئتي ألف إلى مليون ونصف مليون في جميع أراضي الدولة العثمانية. لذا لم يعبأ السلطان بالضغوطات الخارجية ولا بتهديد انكلترا وقيامها بإرسال أسطولها إلى جنق قلعة. وحاولت تلك المنظمات المسلحة اغتيال السلطان عام 1905 بتفجير عربة عند خروجه من المسجد. ولكن السلطان نجا، وألقي القبض على الجاني، ولكن السلطان عفا عنه .

التهجير والإبادة
يقول الباحث الجامعي الأرمني آرا سركيس آشجيان: "وتتفق مصادر عديدة على أن يهود تركيا ومحافلها الماسونية كانت عاملاً مساعداً كبيراً على ارتكاب حزب الاتحاد والترقي -غالبية أعضائه من يهود الدونمة والماسون المتنفذون في محفل سالونيكا الماسوني- والسلطات التركية لهذه المجازر". ولذلك ازداد الوضع تأزماً في عهد حكومة الاتحاد والترقي الماسونية، خاصة بعد دخولها في الحرب العالمية الأولى. فاخترقت الجيوش الروسية الحدود الشرقية للدولة العثمانية لتفوقها في العَدد والعُدد بنسبة ثلاثة أضعاف في الأقل. وقامت بمذابح وحشية في القرى الحدودية والمناطق التي استولت عليها. كما قام الجيش الروسي بتشكيل ميليشيات مسلحة من الأرمن لتكون طابورا خامسا. ثم بدأ الأهالي المسلمون يتسلحون أيضا للدفاع عن أنفسهم، ويقابلون هجوم الأرمن بهجوم مثله. يقول المؤرخ التركي البرفسور أنور كونوكجو: "يندر وجود قرية في شرقي الأناضول لم تتعرض لمذبحة أرمنية" .

يقول الأتراك أن الحكومة العثمانية لم تتمكن آنذاك من حل هذه المشكلة إلا بالقيام بتهجير الأرمن من تلك المناطق الحدودية لتقطع الصلة بين الأرمن وبين الجيوش الروسية. فقامت بعملية تهجير واسعة وكبيرة إلى سوريا ولبنان والموصل. وكان عدد المهجرين كبيرا .ونظرا لضخامة عدد المهاجرين -600 ألف- وعدم توفر الإمكانيات لدى الدولة العثمانية لتنفيذ هذه العملية في ظل فقر الدولة وأهوال الحرب العالمية، تم هذا التهجير بطرق بدائية جدا، فمات من هؤلاء أعداد كبيرة من البرد والجوع والمرض إضافة لتعرضهم لهجومات مستمرة من السكان المحليين. ويقدر البعض هذا العدد بحوالي نصف المهاجرين أي 300 ألف. على أن هذا العدد هو محل خلاف واسع كما سيأتي.

ثم إن عملية التهجير لم تقتصر على الأرمن، بل شملت المسلمين كذلك القاطنين قرب الحدود الروسية. يقول سعيد النورسي واصفاً عملية تهجير المسلمين: "كانت الثلوج قد تراكمت بارتفاع ثلاثة وأربعة أمتار، وبدأ الأهالي بالاستعداد لترك المدينة والهجرة منها بأمر الحكومة. والعوائل التي كانت تملك ستة أو سبعة من الأطفال كانوا لا يستطيعون سوى أخذ طفل أو طفلين فقط، ويضطرون إلى ترك الأطفال الباقين على الطرق الرئيسة وتحت أقواس الجسور مع قليل من الطعام... وبين دموع الأطفال وصراخهم وبكاء الأمهات يتم مشهد فراق يفتت أقسى القلوب". وبينما يقول بعض المؤرخين الأتراك بأن عدد الضحايا من المسلمين في المذابح الأرمنية يقارب المليون.

أعداد الموتى وأسباب موتهم
بينما المؤرخون الأتراك يشيرون إلى مقتل 10 آلاف أرمني فقط، تشير مصادر أخرى إلى ضحايا أكثر من مليون من الأرمن و بعضاً من الطوائف المسيحية الأخرى كالسريان و الكلدان و الآشوريين و غيرهم.

تقول المصادر الأرمنية على أن الحملة كانت متعمدة ومقصودة من أجل تطهير عرقي ضد المسيحيين، خاصة الأرمن كونهم الفاصل العرقي الوحيد بين تركيا وباقي الشعوب الطورانية في آسيا الوسطى. بينما تذكر المصادر التركية أن سبب وفاتهم هي ظروف الحرب والتهجير. والمؤرخون الغربيون مختلفون حول تلك القضية

هل قرأتم بأن العائلة التي عندها ستة اطفال كانت لاتستطيع أخذ كل أطفالها فكانت تتركهم و تأخذ اثنين فقط ماذا عن قلب الام ؟؟؟؟

An Open Letter to Humanity

94 years ago the Ottoman Empire deliberately and systematically tried to eliminate a whole race... The Armenians.

They had a plan, to destroy Armenia, take it out of the map for their dream to come true... Pan Turanism: Armenia was in the middle of the big Turkish empire they wanted to establish...

" We will only leave one Armenian and put him in the museum so that in the future we can remind the World that this kind of race existed" one of the Ottoman Pasha's said.

But they didn't succeed, as we had faith in life, he had faith in survival and we had revolutionary movement that protected us.

I am a 4th generation survivor. Our ancestors are martyrs now but they have me, I speak for them, I fight for them and I make sure they are not forgotten. I will make sure everyone hears their voice, the voice of recognition, the voice of compensation and the voice of freedom.

Let every person who believes in human rights, Let every person loyal to humanity recognize this tragic act... Denial is the last stage of Genocide, as Dr Gregory Stanton stated, and everytime we see Denial, we live the Genocide again and go through all the pain our ancestors went through...

I am away now from my Homeland, the occupied land that my grand father used to live in. How come that's fair? How can I be linked to that land without even being able to go there safely?

94 years have passed, but we still remain loyal to our history, we still remain loyal to humanity and we will still fight for Justice...

1. God bless the Armenians in Lebanon. They are as Lebanese as any Maronite, Sunni, Orthodox or Shia is regardless of what anyone says.

2. God bless those Armenians who faced a horrible genocide. Truly is a shame that people don't recognize the mass killings as a genocide.

3. God bless those Armenians who died defending Lebanon with the LF from the PLO and Syrians during the war. They don't get the credit they deserve for defending the country.
