yo dude, the guy was laughing and drinking tea with the Israelis, nobody said fight them but at least do not have a laugh with the Israeli guy and let's say they guy had a laugh with them anyway, you don't end up promoting him, at least dabedbouwa and shut up on it, but giving him a promotion proves that yes the one who promoted him is happy he was having fun, ya3ni law fi jins el 3a2l bi rassou he would just avoid something like this thread by not promoting him.
You guys (FM supporters) have shown the world and other Lebanese repeatedly that you don't care about Lebanon, first you backed Syria against the Lebanese, then you backed the Israeli aggression against Lebanese, you called Aoun Zionist when Syria was your protector now you called him Syrian when the US/EU/Israel is your protector. You never showed a Lebanese face, you claim independence and now you are begging on doors of foreign nations to form the government. You have a problem with being Lebanese, you are sunnis first, and you call yourself Beirutis but by that Beiruti thing you don't understand you are calling yourself ghetto gangs, because the area you claim to be Beirut is a big pool of buildings where a huge population of sunnis that grew together thrive and where fundamentalism has been on the rise, where gangs arm themselves and fight other gangs. So the Beirut el majrou7a tab3itkon is the FM sunni fundamentalist ghetto, there is nothing to be proud about living in such a ghetto.
Yes you don't really care about Lebanon, you care about power because when a gang power grows it can extend its power from the ghetto to the bigger entity that is the government and the gangs can gain more money doing illegal businesses. You turned this country into a big mafia clan and you claim you are Lebanese at least if you want to claim you care about lebanon have the decency not to accuse FPM that they are pro this and pro that.
Finally i don't think we can build a country with those who support FM, we had this dream in 1989 when Aoun said, leave the Lebanese alone and they will solve their own problems, I think he was mistaken, we can't solve our problems because right now Hariri is given the chance to form a government in Lebanon on his own and he's begging the world to do it for him...
And guess what you support him and you're not alone.
I just wish those small earthquakes we are having everyday lately just become huge and change the whole face of the region and we start all over again.

You do raise a good point... The worse thing is, you can't even admit that it was a wrong thing to do... Which means, you would do it again... It puzzles me how we can build a country where you are willing to ally with the country's worst ennemies just to get rid of another component of your own country...

It is not the first time: you did once with the Palestinians in the 70s, you did it again in 2006 with the Israelis..

Anyway, I give up. I'm not a Lebanese politician so my mind cannot process these things

There is no other country on the world, where an army officer serves tea to the enemy DURING the war and is not treated as a traitor and is not put in jail...

Shame on every Lebanese who politicizes this matter... A traitor is a traitor no matter what color he/she has...

Shame on the interior ministry who didn't resign after what happened...

Shame on the institution that didn't punish this officer...

Shame on every Lebanese who didn't feel ashamed after watching that video...

Thank you!!

There was no FM in the 70s. Oh, you must mean Sunnis here. There were Christians, Druze and Shi'ites allied with the Palestinians back then too.

If you're going to blame all Sunnis for the mistakes of some, then you should also put blame on all the Christians because some of them allied with Israel. Israel appointed a Christian by the name of Bachir Gemayel as President.

Even today FPM is still asking for the SLA criminals to return to Lebanon.

when the Arabs under the muslim banner set out from the desert to conquer/defeat the largest two empires at the time ( roum, feress)

I DOUBT they had thoughts such as, ouffff ya shabab 7a nerba7 keif doul al 3ajam LOL.

It is such defeatist thoughts that have made the Arabs lead a life of despair and them becoming beggars in their own countries.

You are assuming that he really believes that he is Lebanese first and 'Wahhabi' second. If you accept the opposite, it won't be as puzzling anymore.

Never in their lives they believed in Lebanon until they stole the control of the country using the Syrian army. Now that they stole it, they believe in it as their own property and that everyone else is more like unwelcomed guests. Thus, the attempt to establish the Harriri dictatorship using different covers and propagandas.

Now don’t be surprised they served tea to the Israelis. Their goal is common: settle the Palestinians, relief Israel, solidify their control over Lebanon.

Define "criminals". Are women and children who had never held arms in their life also cirminals?
And just to correct your info, FPM is asking all the lebanese who fled to Israel in 2000 to return to Lebanon to be judged. Those who are found guilty would be sentenced and the rest would spend the remainder of their lives in Lebanon as regular citizens living in dignity. Yes, living a dignified life with heads held high means a lot to some.

walla yli sta7o meto...

It's one thing to surrender, it's another thing to serve them tea and host them as heroes... If you really considered them (the Israelis that is), you would at least have some dignity by not serving them with a smile on your face... However, who am I preaching to? The same people who sold Lebanon to the Syrians first, then to Saudi Arabia/USA/France/Israel/Egypt/Timboktu. Your allegiance was never to Lebanon and never will be. You're born a slave, raised a slave, and being a slave is the only thing you know how to do and you see it as normal and not a big deal.
