Head of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc Mohammed Raad said Hizbullah has decided not to respond to statements made by Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Sfeir "at this stage."

In comments published by the daily An-Nahar on Tuesday, Raad said he believed regional powers are keen to "impose the government they want on our people."

"As long as there are obstacles preventing formation of such a government, it means there is a dilemma among these forces that is driving them into exerting pressure to block a Cabinet lineup that does not fit their desires," Raad said.

"We are not accusing anyone, but we believe that it is the responsibility of the premier-designate to assess the supreme national interest to resolve the Cabinet issue," he added.

Raad refused to comment on Sfeir's recent call for the formation of a majority Cabinet.

"We have switched to 'silence mode' in everything related to Patriarch Sfeir at this stage," he explained.

I find sfeir's latest comment insulting and completely unacceptable. That old ahbal is going to isolate other lebanese and accuse them of being puppets in the hands of the iranians. the shoes of one of those kids who died from israelli agression in the south is worth one million people like him. il 7a2 mish 3ale though, religious figures from the other sects should respond to him and teach that piece of **** sfeir a lesson

First of all we chose to defend the Christians of the middle east by living together with the other components of our society and our area within the rules of respect, sovereignty and independence.

Second, yes we are defending the Christians against the evil who is coming from the head of the church. This man is now proclaiming that the majority should rule, did it occur to what is left of his brain that this majority can be one day non-Christian ?

Third, I refuse that you label Sheikh Fadlallah a terrorist. This man never insulted any Chritian neither by his current statement nor by any previous statements. And yes he is right, it is the people of Lebanon who survived through the history and will continue to survive forever.

Fourth, we have no masters but Lebanon and God. Proof, we are against the whole world but because of our masters we will win and defeat your evil plan.

Fifth you are the weakest party on the political scene. Hariri bought you with your batrak, Jumblat turned on you and kicked your ***** and for him you are jens 3atel (ironically he is right), the US used you in the past and agreed to putting your Hakaym in prison for 11 years, they may agree to another 11 years if their interests need to.
