Default biased school books in Lebanon - 18th October 2009

"Modern World Hystory"

You need a new issue of Tayyar Madaress to address this.

Everyone is free to teach whatever they want, this is freedom of speech; this is the free democratic Lebanon we knew.

Its not Al Manar's job or HA's job to mingle into such details; regardless of any political agendas.

what do u need more??

To change our history and teach us that our ancestors we Arabs????

Isn’t it enough that the face of Lebanon is changing a bit by bit because of some groups of people living on its soil do not have the same vision of Lebanon as it has been created for?

Open a school in Europe telling kids that Jews should be exterminated, or teach them how to be good nazis.
I dare you.

This is what happens when you avoid writing a unified modern history book.

No not everyone is free to teach whatever they want, or else we will have a different history book in every school. So we would have a version of history different from another in different places. Wy do we have a ministry of education? Not to have unified everything? Or else yalla kel wahad byeftah 3a hssebo. Cool, boukra in dahyeh they will teach the kids in the books that hariri is a mafiosi and LFers are criminals and thus should be eliminated, chou rakyak heik?
