To avoid such hillarious thinking, in the next electoral law we should be suggesting a revolution : vote where you live not where your grand parents were born. Why no one never talks about this option that could implement a real CHANGE in Lebanese politics ?
this can never be done in Lebanon because of our sectarian situation.
in that case people will just move their residency prior to the election just to affect the result of a certain district.

Thanks : finally someone takes this issue seriously :-)

If your residency is based on the local taxes (baladiyyé) you pay or on your phone or electrcity subscription, I gues few ppl would be able to change residency so easily

Concerning the sectarian dilemma : it could be solved by the proportional law on a mohafazat basis no ? Or even better, proportional law on a national basis (ppl vote for lists and the number of elected candidate depends on the percentage of total votes the list got)

I think the solution is simply to adopt an electoral law based on proportion and Lebanon as one circonscription, the importance of the vote will be equal wherever you vote.

no it's not BS
i don't think that 14 march can win b3abda
but not having pierre daccache with us + not having a candidate from the jurd + making one of gma's family a candidate is really killing us
7eses eno gma is trying the worst possible scenario in b3abda like he did in maten when he named K. khoury against AG

Shiite vote = Sunni votes + Druze Votes
This is 100 % true 3ala lawa2e7 el shateb bas remember that the partcipation rate of shiite is much higher than sunni & druze + aoun's list will get around 85 to 90 % of shiite votes while the opposite list will get max 75% of Druze & Sunni votes.
