Most (if not all) of our MPs/candidates would not win if it wasn't for Aoun's popularity... they wouldn't even be known if it wasn't for Aoun. Aoun is the face through which all FPMers are seen.

this is very WRONG
new faces and new people should be given the front rows
what will happen to FPM post-GMA ??
just another ketleh or ahrar???
Internal Elections in FPM is a must

The candidates are chosen nobody can change that fact. Now our job is to work and help the candidates win with the biggest number of votes.

Yes but that wasnt Fakhr's point. Fakhr was saying he used his family relationship with GMA to get the exposure.

What matters to me most in candidates is character, i think his statement to the TV is a shining example of a sense of entitlement, and id hate to see people like that given the spotlight in FPM.

I simply do not see in him (and many others) the traits that identify FPMers.

any explanation about leaving kortbawi out ??
is it that FPM sees this district as stronghold so we go for 3 FPMer - irrespective who they are , how they talk look and walk....WRONG THINKING
Kortbawi brings added value to the list plus he is from upper baabda ...
ye3neh if at one point FPM gains a lot of popularity it will bring anyone - FM style / director in oger - and run.... this proved to be a failure for FM in WB and akkar...
GMA is the soul of FPM no doubt but it shouldn't be FPM=GMA
TOO RISKY and DISTRUCTIVE

Kortbawi is out of the list WITH FULL SATISFACTION AND AGREEMENT WITH GMA.

Source: Verrrrrrry close and reliable sources. Don't worry, you'll see him soon fighting for reform in the government BUT WE MUST GET THE MAJORITY FIRST.

Alain was more active in FPM than 90% of our present MPs and candidates. I personally experienced his activism in the previous 15 years more than any of our MPs (half of whom I never even knew that they support FPM before 2005)... and I know what I am talking about because there was no one more involved than I was in FPM during that time... iyem el-2elleh, as they call them.

Now, I am not saying I am an advocate of every old activist becoming an MP. But to be fair to the old activists, including those related to GMA, we have to admit they are as entitled to run (if not more) as all the other "new" activists if they qualify and have the desire to run. And Alain is no dumbass... he is more than qualified like many of our first-time candidates... just like Simon is... and like Georges Atallah is.

In short, Alain was about to be penalized for nothing more than being Aoun's relative. He made a fuss about it? Yes, he did... but a fuss backed by statistics showing him to surpass other potential candidates according to the criteria FPM laid out. I wouldn't have done it if I were in his shoes just to give Aoun some breathing room... but no 2 people are the same.

Heck, we accept that "sense of entitlement" from non-FPMers who never lifted a finger to help FPM before 2005... fina nmarre2a for an old activist.

What FPM traits? There are many. If you're talking exclusively about the absence of that "sense of entitlement" that you mentioned and about selflessness, you will be hard pressed to find 1 or 2 candidates with those specific traits... and no need to name names.

Let's hope that Kortbawi will be one of the FPM minister in next Governement (Justice). But Now we must stop criticising and work to the success of the list.

Talking about the second list Moni Gharios- Hnein etc... It was amazing to see Samir Geagea announcing this "independant" List from Ain el Remmaneh while No LF candidates on it. (full of contradictions)

It is really an independant List
