Alain Aoun should not run this year. If he wanted to protect and help GMA, he would have supported Chakib Kortbawi candidature instead of putting pressure on him.

Anyway, Good Luck to each candidate, w Allah Y3inak ya General

very true!

alain aoun should be replaced by chakib kourtbawi!

3 candidates min l se7hil!????

alain aoun still young he could run in 2013 , but now chakib should be in his normal position in the C&R block , i really like this man

shakib kortbawi is very popular , respectful and decent person , with history too
+ he's from upper b3abda msh mnel se7il
there's no reason why he shouldn't be on the list
HUGE loss , he could have replaced any of the 3 candidates , no matter who (ma32eno i prefer that aoun ykoun barra to exclude family members)
and above that all kortbawi nsa7ab for the sake of FPM's list without hesitation
di3ano .....

We can't look at 2005 figures because back then we had the votes of the FPM supporters and we had 2 strong independents, Kortbawi and Dr. Daccache. This time it is not the case, and I don't know how capable any of our 3 candidates to attract independent voters. I am more than sure that Gharios can't (I personally, an FPMer for quite a while, and have barely heard of him). Alain is a good element but in my opinion his running this time is gonna rah yeherko, he needed much more exposure, work, shedding the light on him, so I also here do not think that Alain will grab any independents, and Hikmat Dib, well he is the only one that has some notoriety, but then again, limited in my opinion in what it comes to independents.

I hope that what happened with Kortbawi and Daccache will not cost us a win, given that the Chiite votes in Baabda are neutralized by the Sunni + Druze votes and the Christian vote is the one that will decide, and it is a fact that there is a big percentage of Christians that are attracted by non partisan figures like Kortbawi and Daccache.

True but who in FPM didn't use Aoun's popularity to become known?

Most (if not all) of our MPs/candidates would not win if it wasn't for Aoun's popularity... they wouldn't even be known if it wasn't for Aoun. Aoun is the face through which all FPMers are seen.

Yes, FPMers are ready to sacrifice for FPM. Not the opposite
