OTV editorial tonight :
بكركي دخلت علناً على خطِّ تعيينِ قائدٍ للجيش، معبِّرةً صراحةً عن عدم رضاها عن الخيار الذي قيلَ إنه تمَّ الاستقرارُ عليه.
Tayyar.org

They said this sentence but they didn't really report what Bkerké fromally and officially said in the 11:00 news
I guess they're saying Bkerké doesn't want Kahwaji, but did Bkerké really say that ? If not, then OTV is playing a bad game here :-( if yes then OTV missed some news in its 11:00 news :-(

We should respect the BAtrak's decision regarding the appointment of the Military chief, given his deep and broad experience in the army...

A black man is running for President in the USA, and we still don't have a Muslim Army commander in Lebanon yet (despite the fact that Muslims are the majority of the Army).

That's not right.

It all boils down to the sectarian political system of Lebanon, the mistrust among its various factions and communities, etc...

everyone in lebanon knows everything any reporter new or old ask them any question even on how to fix a space ship they will never say I don't now they will have an opinion on how to fix a space ship . speculations and tv shows news political interviews god ! they know everything all the ministers and the mps are their bodies first name basis a bunch of liar selling out to the highist bidder they should shut the h.... up and let the prosses take its course not only on this matter but in general .they need to get jobs there is 1 reporter for every 10 people in lebanon .. they tell you that is what is going to happen buuut you know anything can happen in lebanon (khat elraja'a). the syrilankia knows that really they need to have some self respect stop talking and stop using these good generals names because these guys are going to have a life after the army

That's not right.
the army chief should be from any sect as long as he is patriotic and secular, not christian because it's tradition nor muslim because they are the majority.

but that's not the only sad thing, the sad story is that the political power is split three ways between president/PM/speaker instead of just one powerful president that can be from any sect yet secular.

the saddest part being that this whole institutional reform can't take place since lebanon would need a really secular population instead of the sectarian bunch of lemmings we have now everywhere.

so now, we have to ask the batrak if he is ok with the army chief and president and if the mufti is ok with the PM etc etc..

Pathetic Great Lebanon i say..
sometimes i think this country ain’t worth fixing..
