Another Ziad Baroud great move

Just to make it clear that I have no problem with athiests :) I am Agnostic myself and do not believe in any religion.

However, I just need to stress one point, this is not only about being an athiest, it is about the fact that my religion and my beliefs are my own, and I do not need to include them on my civil records.

It is more of a stand.

The reason I am stressing this is because I don't want to limit the issue to athiests as this would cause a religious uprising from the extreme religious community (remember Civil Marriage ?)

As for the movement and the introduction present in Baroud's decision, it is taken as is from the movement that was started by the journalist who started the movement "na7wa al 3almana" or something like that, he encouraged people to apply for a law suit against the Lebanese state to force a removal of reference to the sect on the civil records based on the same introduction that Baroud used.

Now we can officially do it, I am so relieved about this :)

By the way, does anyone know the steps to follow this ? How can we apply it ?

It hurts me to see non-FPMer doing what FPMers should be doing.....

Well X, one might argue that FPM is not holding the authority at the Ministry of Interior to do it.

I am personally happy regardless of who did it, what hurts me more is the sectarian speech of many so-called FPMers ( * runs away before the attacks start * )

I doubt FPM was going to do this in case the Ministry of Interior was with us, anyway that's another subject.

I hope one day that we will see only the word 'lebanese' on the ID papers not each person's sect. This will really be a day to be proud of.
