Who's making it a Baroud vs.Kanaan or vs.Bassil?
Just because i used some illustration for people to get my point does not mean that i'm making the whole thread as a "Baroud vs.Kanaan or vs.Bassil".
Walla 7elo...Please read all my posts from the start before throwing at me such allegation.

That's the whole point. He is not up to the real challenge,no matter what the reasons are.I know that he is a good person...But I need a minister
up to the challenges we're facing.
If he accepted the job, knowing that he is not allowed to do what really and seriously needs to be done, then what does that make him exactly?
I've seen people refuse the job because they didn't have a green line to do the right thing.I've seen others resigning for the same reasons.
Baroud didn't even try, didn't even complain...nothing.That can't be very good, yet i will keep my judgment for later.

Exactly. You said it.He is only doing "small steps".
That's exactly what i've been trying to explain from the start.Just give the man as much credit as he deserves. Not less...But definitely not more.

I doubt that the one that is "safeguarding the elections" is Baroud,or the minister of interior at the first place.
His job is to prepare for the election, mostly from the administrative angle,so that when the time will come, they will run in a smooth and transparent legal way.
So far,he didn't do much, especially when it concerns the financing of electoral campaigns, and i highly doubt that he will apply the law in that regard, btw.
On the other hand, even if elections happen correctly, there would be nothing worth to praise him for, unless doing a very regular minister of interior job,is now something to be praised.
Noting that no minister of interior ever failed in the history of Lebanon,at conducting elections...even the most stupid or the most corrupt ones.

Lots of "ifs" here.I don't see why one would need to pick Baroud once again, and not someone else, especially that the man only works according to some remote control.
Anyway, let's suppose that he comes back again, what ground makes you think that he could be that man that you are describing?
I honestly doubt it,judging by the personality, the character and the activity so far.

No they're not.Not at all.A war happened in connection with what Bassil is fighting today.Don't underestimate that.
