Default Do the Ends justify the means? - 11th June 2008

For many, who can 'almost' "see", perhaps a little question to thyself: Do the ends justify the means? Apply it to different topics, not just Lebanon and HA's arms & actions. Apply it to your examples of tough decision making situations... And if you have the answer in two seconds, think again.

Now that Lebanon has a new President and about to have a new Government with all parties represented in it, what will happen if Hezbollah gave up their arms to the unknown?
In my opinion, that’s pulling the rug from under us after we thought we’ve got it all made.
It still astonishes me when the Lebanese complain about a state within a sate and all they are programmed to see is Hezbollah the Lebanese resistance, instead of the Palestinian State within Lebanon, which caused the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982 in the first place and created the Hezbollah phenomenon as a result.
Is the Lebanese army capable of filling in the gap if Hezbollah disappears from the South overnight? The answer is a big NO!
In that case, who will take control of the South? The answer is: The Palestinian army under the Israeli umbrella.
Do the Israelis have a problem with the Palestinians taking over the South? The answer is: Not only they don’t have a problem with that; they will be supporting them with arms and international media cover-up so long they promise not to mention the right of return to Palestine ever again. That’s part of the road map and the international agenda that is set on the backburner for now thanks to the resistance victory. Unfortunately, that victory will never be secured so long the Palestinian issue remains a hibernating monster.
Luckily, the opposition/resistance leadership is fully aware of such facts and that’s a blessing for all Lebanese.
To those who don’t want to give up trying, calling the Hezbollah arms issue a matter of principle; allow me to use Sanoira’s cute words: rou7ou khaytou bighayr hal msalleh,
The whole international agenda for Lebanon has been revised because of HA victories thanks to their arms.
Jumblatt became a soft-spoken fellow because of HA arms.
Hariri became an innocent sheep because of HA arms.
Geagea became semi civilized because of HA arms.
Amine Gemayel became semi presidential because of HA arms.
Saniora’s eye braw finally moved because of HA arms.
Patriarch Sfeir finally understood that politics is not his job because of HA arms.
Lebanon’s Prince is not a war criminal today because of HA arms.
Lebanon has a new President with a voice because of HA arms.
The Christians have not been shipped to Cyprus because of HA arms.
The Christians (all Christians including the Armenians) will have fair representation in the government from now on because of HA arms.
The Shiites in the South have not been shipped to Iraq because of HA arms.
Lebanon is not in a state of civil war killing Sunnis, Shiites and Christians alike just like in Iraq, because of HA arms.
The Bush administration declared what went on in Lebanon as a political move because of HA arms.
The Israelis are finally making prisoner exchange deals (which are good for the Israelis as well) with HA that Saniora could never make because of HA arms.
And finally, Geagea, Jumblatt, Gemayel, and Hariri are not killing each other THANK’S to GMA, SHN and Hezbollah arms.
Just like during WW2, when the issue was not about supporting the communists as a communist regime but as a resistance against the Nazis; in Lebanon, the issue is not about supporting Hezbollah as an Islamism regime but as a national resistance: It’s a choice between living under a foreign regime or a Lebanese national one.
Unfortunately, some leaders have a price for everything!

For some reason part of the text got messed up during the forum transition and maintenance. It’s still comprehensible if you read it with some patience. Too bad I don’t have the master script.
Thank you for asking.

Default Lebanon’s Guardian Angels. - 11th June 2008

Some say (and they know who they are) the recent cleaning up of West Beirut “invasion by thugs”
I say, you must be confusing Beirut with Baghdad!
What an insult to injury for any Iraqi victim listening to you complain.

You call them thugs; I call them Lebanon’s Guardian Angels.

They put Lebanon back on track without asking for anything in return.

They cleaned up and delivered to the army; I thank them for their sacrifices and still hope the army does its own job cleaning up East Beirut and the rest of the country.

Because of what they did, Lebanon has a President today with certain taste and color and every Lebanese will be represented in the government so we can find out how Sanoira and Co. drowned the Lebanese people in debt.

Because of what they did, the international plot against Lebanon has been foiled. No more political assassinations, so you and the rest of the traitors who supported the enemy against your own country and people can come to Lebanon this summer and enjoy peace.

Can anyone imagine what Geagea would have done if he had HA power?

Since you are so bitter about what happened in West Beirut, how do you feel about your masters who encouraged you to commit suicide and were the first ones to dump you? Have you finally learned your lesson about principles and loyalty or is it going to always be honor among thieves.

I’ve seen such betrayals by the so called “Western and Civilized world” through out history. There is a time where you must understand that just because you are white, Christian, speak French, rich etc. YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL. They look down at you. They never respect you. They own you and the minute you stop performing they feed you to your own enemies. Hints: Shah, Saddam, Noriega, Somoza, Geagea’s years in a cage… You might wonder whose next.

What happened last month is a proof that the resistance is doing what the army and the corrupt movement can’t do; restoring the Lebanese dignity and proving to the world that the Lebanese people can take care of their business and the foreign interference is there only to divide them.

Jumblatt, Geagea and Hariri naively counted on Israel to attack Beirut in their favor but Israel was not ready to receive and justify to its people any rocket attacks on their Capital. That was a golden opportunity for HA to take over and transform Lebanon into a Shiite country. They didn’t! They honored their pact with FPM and proved once again, they are honorable and ideal partners any lucky group can have.

Dear sir,

You have been going on and on about this argument loading threads with endless quantities of text to convince me that I should be thankful that HA decided not to throwing me to the sea? because honestly, I am not that comfortable with what you're saying. I like to think that what's stopping a guy with a gun from shooting me, is some kind of a law, a pact, an agreement, whatever, and not just his good intentions and high morals.

Some people think that HA is a blessing, sure that's fine by me, but we may find other reasons as to why it's a blessing than the one you are suggesting.

Unfortunately, many don’t want to hear the news from the original source.
For someone who was wrong all his life and preached hatred and the wrong message so assertively and caused so much damage misleading himself and his society, it takes courage for that person to accept the inconvenient truth and admit he was wrong.
Such ignorance turns into arrogance and hypocrisy. That’s the type of people addicted to sugar coated pills that they already know such pills are bitter.
They need their favorite news media packaging their news. They love being told they are the smart and cute victims knowing that nothing is farther from the truth.

What I’ve been suggesting is that the truth has been turned upside down by the powerful and expensive propaganda that is promoting an agenda that wants to resolve the Palestinian tragedy in Lebanon by creating a new tragedy to all Lebanese and thanks to HA power, the Lebanese tragedy didn’t happen. They divided us using our ignorance and bigotry and made many of us believe HA is our problem. In reality, HA is their problem!
I don’t want to be identified as Lebanese Christian but that’s the category I fall in.
Based on my category, had HA failed, my situation would be just like the Christian situation in Iraq and Palestine.
Unlike most Christian leaders in Lebanon who are begging to crawl. HA are taking care of their people. They don’t have to protect us as Christians especially with the negative attitude many of us have against them but they did, thanks to their loyalty and GMA’s vision and wisdom, the man who represents me.

Thank you for your comment but I don’t think I’m following you about my change of heart in the recent years, although I’m a living proof that we can be wrong and misled but once we realize that we should not only accept the truth but share it and preach it.
Please provide with any links where I might have been misunderstood.
