He said that they completed their integration in the Middle East as it appears that they fight now like the "arabs" (who they always denigrate by the way).
Now, Israeli's hawks speech remind me of the old Arab League's tenors speech in the 50's. Only bla-bla, threats etc. Man, IDF really got its as* kicked last time...
I don't understand though why so many countries and organizations are so masochist. Let them have a look at Lebanon's History. Any country, kingdom, empire which tried to invade and control this darn piece of land failed since the most ancient times. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to elias-aj For This Useful Post: | | | Orange Room Supporter

1. All the jArab armies combined in 1948
2. The Egyptian army in 1956 (the Suez conflict)
3. The Jordanian, Syrian, Egyptian armies in 1967
4. Hell, even when the Jordanians, Syrians, Egyptians and Palestinians tried a surprise attack on a Jewish holiday in 1972
5. The Syrian army in Lebanon in 1982 (what was ratio of the air dogfights? 100:0 or something?)
The only ones who beat the caca out of the Israeli army was the resistance in Lebanon and yes the Israeli army looked and acted as if they were an jArab army.
And if the Israelis play their cards right in the next war, they could reinvade South Lebanon up to the Litani. The trick for them though will be: how can they hold onto it. It'll be the security zone all over again with two or three casualties in the Israeli army every day until the Israeli public cave in and start pressuring their government to get out again.
As usual, Lebanon will pay the price with Israel's heavy handedness, however, we're used to it and will rebuild it for the nth time. This time though, there is a new internation weapon called the Internet where these crimes don't go unnoticed anymore... | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to LebanonUSA For This Useful Post: | | | Registered Member

Please stop mocking the Arab fighter, He is one of the bravest fighters on the face of the planet. They were not cowards, thousands of them died in battle as opposed to the israeli that cannot handle more than 200 casualties. Besides you are insulting the Lebanese army as well. | | | | | Orange Room Supporter

just a small comparison: SHN in 2006 vs. King Hussein of Jordan 1973.
I believe that a weak army with a strong and smart leader can defeat a strong army with a moron leading it.
another example: HA in 2006 vs. "israel" in 2006. (and I'm not saying that HA fighters are weak not all, but their equipment was (and still) nothing compared to what the israelis have). | | | | | Registered Member

The Arabs had no Plans, they went into Wars Pre-Maturely (to stop ethnic cleansing), They Had lousy Leaders With no Plans (Half of them Traitors). But the posts above were very unclear If you know what I mean.

Well, the aim was not to mock the Arab fighter and anyway, I don't know who is an Arab fighter and who is not.
It was ironic because the israelis always denigrate "arabs" (for them, all the people living in every country in the middle east, including us of course). We're still hearing the story of the egyptian soldiers who fled the battlefield leaving their own shoes (anyway and to be honest, given the feeling of superiority of the egyptian officers the time this story happened - they used to mock among others the lebanese army - even lebanese and especially LAF officers laughed at the "mighty" egyptian army).
Anyway and to make it short, the aim was not make fun of the "arab" fighter nor to hurt arab nationalism feeling. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to elias-aj For This Useful Post: | | | Orange Room Supporter

the best local fighter is the lebanese army soldier. period.
arabs israelis aliens don't concern me none.
just let us buy the equipment necessary.
it's a matter of national pride plus it's a matter of individual caliber.
no one can compare our captains and soldiers to anyone else.
they achieved excellence by fighting battles practically bare handed.
i would like to see how the american soldiers would have fared in nahr al bared using the exact same BS equipment as we had versus numerous well dug-in, veteran, very well equipped, suicidal and organized foes.
the lebanese army has some very refined captains and soldiers, we just need to supplement them with the proper equipment and keep training them.
and most importantly, the army should keep itself clean from the very few opportunist unloyal individuals that try to infiltrate it.
if we strive for a professional army, we will have the best one around. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Red Phoenix For This Useful Post: | | | | | Tags | assassination, chief, guard, hassan, hezbollah, imad, implied, integrated, islamic, meir, military, militia, militiamen, mossad, moughnieh, nassrallah, national, officially, protector, resistance, sayyed, shiites, speech, system | |
