Since Hezbollah and the Resistance are one of the major topics of discussion and whereby Hezbollah is a national resistance and deemed as so as per the ministerial statement and the general political understanding..

What would be your opinion as a Lebanese citizen, supporting your national resistance, on the type of counterstrike that Hezbollah should do?

(please mods if you can make this a poll)

1. A military operation on the Lebanese borders as in July 2006 (kill or capture israeli soldiers)

2. An intel operation within or outside Israel to liquidate one of the israeli military commanders (eye for an eye), provided it minimizes civilian casualties

3. A direct and massive hit, either on a military or a civilian target in Israel or abroad, regardless of casulaties

4. Do nothing

5. Other

Option two would be ideal, but close to impossible.

I honestly don't know how Hezbollah will respond, if they respond at all. Chances are, they'll do an operation in two years or so and call it vengence for Mughniyeh. Who knows?

Wlo... your avatar zawwaghli 3youni! :)

I can tell you what it will most likely be... but I will be accused of insider trading LOL

Instead, I will tell you what it should be: "5. Other". We should not let ourselves be derailed off track... we should stay on-track working for the independence of Lebanon and freedom of the Lebanese.

Hi,

None of the first three options would fulfill anything else than the feeling of revenge. By the way, it would not help improving things regarding :

- our common will to free the lebanese occupied lands ;
- our common will to build a state.

To be able to meet our objectives, we need a strong lebanese state.

HA alone could do nothing. FPM alone could do nothing.

So, I think that the best option is to strengthen the determination that is existing between HA and the FPM in order to establish confidence between the lebanese and to build a state with working institutions.

This would be the best way to score a victory against those, including the israelis and some other arab countries, who are trying to destroy the lebanon we all want here.

Keep the situation as it is, because the Israeli's will be afraid that HA will revenge at any time, thus making them confused.

Moreover, this situation should be accompanied by a continous speeches from the resistance leaders that they will revenge for Mughniyeh.

HA can't attack civilians in response to the killing of a military leader (April's 96 agreement anyone?) and any massive hit or attack would emerge from the south, and that's kinda hard because of the current situation there, that eliminate the first option and 3rd option
doing nothing is out of question, it will badly hurt HA credibility among it's supporter, and the balance of fear in Israel
so I'd go for option 2, eliminating military leaders (Mossad) inside or outside of Israel, without claiming it too, and guess it wont be a single operation but a series of assasinations
HA can also use (and by use i mean support and send specialists) Palestinians fighters to attack highly sensible military bases in Israel

they have lots of options, and they'll choose wisely and take advantage of time

5-other

The best response would be one that they did not and would not anticipate.
Leave the bombing and killing alone; stay away from that; they are expecting you to do that to retaliate 10 times harsher to destroy what you have and to smash the hopes of your next generations.

The best response is to create a permanent peace, give your children a chance to retaliate in creating a better , more prosperous, more peaceful Lebanon where the brains of its peaceful people can launch Rockets to the Moon and Mars instead of Tel Aviv.

regards

What would you do if the Israeli's aren't seeking for peace?
