The head of the Change and Reform parliamentary bloc MP Michel Aoun slammed once again on Thursday the Lebanese officials concerned with forming the cabinet, saying that they were unable to form alone their own cabinet.
And during an interview with Al-Manar TV on Thursday, the Free Patriotic Movement leader, MP Michel Aoun, said that Prime Minister-designate is intentionally delaying the cabinet formation due to foreign pressures and emphasizing that the political campaigns launched against him here and there were aimed at hiding the truth behind the current delay.
"if they (March 14 forces) don't succeed in forming the cabinet due to the mentioned reasons, they seek to find an internal pretext for their failure and Michel Aoun's name is the best pretext they have." Aoun said.
"Everytime they do the same thing; they trump up a story and then seek to convince others of it," Aoun said. "Any unbiased observer would notices that the real problem is a foreign one," he emphasized. "Otherwise, who would explain to us the reasons behind the surprising trips? The coup launched by the head of the Democratic Gathering MP Walid Jumblatt against his allies caused a 10-day "vacation" for the PM-Designate and then they say the problem resides within Aoun."
The Free Patriotic Movement leader called on PM-Designate Saad Hariri to stop listening to those who were seeking to benefit from his power in multiple ways and to immediately take non-popular decisions that would prove his ability or inability to form the cabinet.
"Is it possible amid this whole chaos that the PM-Designate succeed in forming the government? I don't expect so. Furthermore, in the decision making, a lot are praising Aoun to receive something in return. Therefore, Hariri has to take decision that wouldn't appreciated in his entourage to be able to end the crisis."
