First time you say something right. It certainly was the beginning of a new era in Lebanon. A new era of taba3iyyi and dhimmiyyi. An era where one small sect wants to eat the green and dry and is not allowed to be questioned.

Yup, it was the beginning of a dark era for Lebanon. Thank God Almighty there is someone called Michel Aoun who has the courage to stand up for us against your tyranny.

Even in the terms of political aftermath. If Bachir wasn't assassinated, the whole Civil War and War with Israel would have had completely different outcomes. It was an event that changed Lebanese history. For example, the May 17 Agreement would have been ratified (and no I'm not condoning that agreement, I'm just giving an example how Lebanon's history the last 25 years may have been completely different).

The arguments could go both ways, I see your point here.
Nice to see we can agree on a few things here and there.

So you accepted to keep the country 5 months without a government because Bassil lost by a small margin in Batroun and he doesn't deserve to be a minister.

Is this what you want to say to the lebanese people?

I'm not trying to diminish the weight other assassinations had on the course of lebanese politics. Two presidents and a PM were assassinated before, and this had dramatically changed the political scene in lebanon. However none of them flipped the entire regional and even international political scenes the way the past assassination did. We've witnessed regional alliances broken, international investigation and tribunal and an entire new political scene in lebanon (Exit of syria, etcc..)

Actually I'm done with this debate. Bassil, elle 3a raso rishe, will be in the government due to your allies' patience and support. No need to dwell more on this subject.

Put Rashid karameh in that car which was blown up in 2005, and you will notice the same flipping of international community, the same investigations, and the same tribunal.

It's all about Syria, and not RH.
Or you still believe that the united states cares about your cedar revolution?

Hariris political weight on the regional and international level was unmatched by any lebanese, that's what gave the assassination the weight it has.
