They had on their web page a kind of poster showing from one side the 14 febers and from the other the oppositon figures, as an announcement their election coverage. They had with the 14 febers the photo of president Sleiman. OTV raised the issue. NOW THEY REMOVED SLEIMAN'S PHOTO AND REPLACED IT WITH GEBRAN TUEINI.

Time: March 1979

Place: Batroun, the school of the Holy Family School (HFS) (مدرسة العائلة المقدسة


During the height of the fighting between Kataeb/Geagea and Marada in 1979, President Franjieh asked the schools to remain closed in Batroun area due to the ongoing fights and students safety.

Some priests in charge of the HFS disagreed with President Franjieh’s decision.

What were geagea plans?

Geagea forces sneaked from the sea to the Batroun area via San Stifano beach and tried to plant explosives during the night in the HFS.
Luckily, while preparing the explosives inside the HFS, the explosives denoted pre-maturely and killed Fadi geagea and Charbel Chahine of geagea forces. The rest of geagea forces ran away leaving the two dead behind them.

Geagea was planning to implicate the Marada in the explosion due to the dispute about the school closures.

Hundreds of innocent students were saved by a miracle.

That was geagea forces in 1979…this is geagea forces today….

That can be confirmed with just a silly trick with the Windows Paint:

And while taking another normal bottom screenshot from tayyar.org u can realize all the ads now are similar to each other in their positions
