I really hate to comment on politics, but.
As INDEPENDENT person (i hate all politics), my IMHO, Aoun is ruining country.
He is stubborn to get most sweet seat (about MONEY and control), telecom, while his party is not major party who win elections and not major party who is in alliance. He want to put his relative to such honey position with silly reasons that have nothing to do with care about his country and his people. It is care about his party (small group of people) interests only. If he is worried about country lines tapping - well politicians can EASILY encrypt their talks. People? Well, people wont loose anything if they are tapped. If it was done before, it wont hurt much later. But till next elections he can show and improve other areas where he can get minister seats. But... money, money, money. He want telecom or DIE ALL. Nice position.
He will lead country to war, civil or with Israel, because there is no control, now law making, nothing. Recent rocket launches really makes me scared that it will happen. And Israel is very happy seems that country divided and cannot stand together. Few month more, and if they enter to country, some sides most probably will become Israel friends just to kill other Lebanese opponents. It is best dream for Israel, to clean territory by dividing lebanese people and making them fight one to each other.
BOTH parties too much concerned about their sectarianism and people should say NO to all existing politics who practice sects interests, and elect people who is away from religion and sects and care about SUCCESS of WHOLE country.
Politics who is minority should take majority decisions and try to find solution. For now i see:
Hariri - Let's form government
Aoun - BASSIL - TELECOM!
Hariri - We can't accept that
Aoun - BASSIL - TELECOM!
Hariri - Let's try this seats
Aoun - BASSIL - TELECOM!
Hariri - here is my complete proposal, this here, those here, and this for president
Aoun - BASSIL - TELECOM!
Hariri - #(*$&#$(#*$&^!!! I resign. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to nuclearcat For This Useful Post: | | | Registered Member

Hariri - #(*$&#$(#*$&^!!! I resign. | Actually you another piece propaganda, Hariri did not offer anything at all, Aoun gave up many of his rights to make this work yet Hariri did not move an inch and at the end decided to act on his own without consulting anybody and **** off even his allies.
This is how it went:
Aoun: I represent a pro-rata of 7, i want 7 ministers
Hariri: We will give you 5
Aoun: Tarayneha, ok 5 meshi, i want the interior, the finance and telecom.
Hariri: No, telecom not for you, it is moudawara between everybody but interior and finance only moudawara for the president and Moustaqbal respectively.
Aoun: OK don't give me the other, I want telecom for Bassil
Hariri: No
Aoun: Ok propose something and come back
Hariri: I am not talking to you, I name the ministers for everyone
Gemayyel: We don't want tourism we were not consulted
Geagea: Bimti3id
Hariri: I resign, not that i am giving up on this, i want to be nominated again and i have no other plans to make it work, but i need to waste time. | | | | | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to Danny Z For This Useful Post: | | | Registered Member

As a non-FPMer one must be fair and accept the outcome of the elections:
The Christians in their majority chose Aoun/FPM as their representative, thus FPM represents 64 of the parliamentary seats and also represents 15 of the ministerial offices and represents 50% of Lebanon (because our sectarian system dictates that the Christians get half and the other half is for the Muslim). This is simple logic.
What disturbs me and leads me to veto what is going on, is that Hariri is not respecting this fact: The fact that FPM has the Christian majority and thus represents the Christian aspirations.
What also discusts me are the visits of ambassadors to diverse leaders. Why do ambassadors of some countries let be KSA, USA, France or Honolulu's visit "Zaims" and do not stick to the protocoll? The protocoll dictates that COUNTRIES interact on diplomatic affairs thus Foreign Minister deals with ambassadors and period. Why are we an absolute exception to the rule, leading a complete chaotic diplomatic route? Why do we have visits to KSA, Fatwa from Najaf or Mekka, visits from French/US/"T..ma ba3ref min" to this or that Zaim without sending them to hell for interfering in our internal affairs?
I prefer this country never has a govenment than another interference leading to a new Taef/Doha/hell knows what. And only Zaims in this country can stop this interference, only your own Zaims whom you elected and you must now them underv pressure and tell them to stop listening to this or that country and simply respect the outcome of the elections.
Again and for the last time, any rational person who reads the electoral outcome must respect Aoun's decision as well as take into consideration Hairi and Nasrallah and whomever (even if they won in an illegal manner -let be petrodollars, fatwas, nakl nfous or other means), and let us lead this country with our own will, far away from any foreign interference (even if they are funding the one or other zaim, then we'ld better die then sell our dignity to those country). This is the only way out for us, even if it means harder financial coming time, but no way out of this regional/intenational conflict otherwise. We will remain slaves of other nations, otherwise. | | | | | Registered Member
