Default 2009 Parliamentary Elections - FPM and the Forum (Extremely important) - 13th June 2008

As FPM started working on the 2009 Parliamentary elections, i want to highlight several points that will become the "unofficial" policy of the Forum.

1 - Private V/S Public: What you hear inside a private FPM meeting might not be appropriate to be mentioned in the public, whenever you want to post any information you have, think twice before you post it and make sure by posting it you won't harm FPM or help FPM's opponents in the elections.

2 - Statistics: There will be lot of statistics from now till the end of the elections, the majority of those statistics will be "fake", don't waste your time with the statistics, you might read a statistics which says FPM in Jbeil for example has 75% of the voters support, that will make you comfortable and that will make you stop working since according to the statistics, Jbeil is in our pocket.

3 - Talk V/S work: Elections are won in the ballot box on the elections day, everything before that doesn't count, you will read here and there lot of stories about how our opponents will crush us, ignore what you are reading, when it comes to the Forum, avoid answering to those who come here and claim that will win in the elections and FPM will fail, let them think whatever they want, let them think they are going to beat us, what's important is what happens on the Elections Sunday, so try to double your work and limit your talk.

4 - Volunteer: 1001 people working for FPM in the elections is much better than 1000 people working, you can volunteer and help FPM, there are many things volunteers can do, don't expect anyone to come to you and ask you to help FPM, you have to go find FPM offices and offer yourself, if they didn't call you back, go once again, find another office in the area, move to another area and work.

5 - Work now, complain later: While working on the ground, you will face lot of issues where you don't agree with how FPM is handling the issues, the worst thing you may ever do to FPM is leave in the middle of the elections. You might not enjoy the person in charge of you, you might be working with people you don't like, there might be problems with you and others during the work, no matter what happens, keep everything behind you, forget the problems, keep on working and once the elections are over, you can raise all the issues you have, but you will be harming FPM more than doing any good in case you start raising issues in the middle of the elections.

I repeat, the most important thing for us (Forum) is making sure no information leaks out by mistake, remember that our opponents read every single word on the Forum, avoid posting private information, avoid posting any information that will make our opponents profit from it.

More points will be added later on, so keep checking this thread till the elections.
