MP George Kasarji of the National bloc, an ally of the Change and Reform bloc, on Thursday said that MP Michel Aoun had made a mistake by distributing the quotas and the ministerial seats in the new cabinet unfairly, as he excluded the National bloc and the Tashnaq party.

He told NOW Lebanon that he criticized Aoun’s decision on the personal level and has not committed the bloc or the Tashnaq party to adopting his position.

He added that he was just expressing his convictions and would not change his political status.

“My relationship with Aoun and the Change and Reform MPs is good, but I don’t like unilateralism and dictatorship in taking positions on the political level, the reason for my disagreement with Aoun.”

Kasarji had said earlier to Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Anbaa, “Aoun totally realizes that the Ministry of Agriculture, given National bloc head MP Elias Skaff, is not a service ministry and limits the minister’s work. For that reason, many people were disappointed.”

He added that Skaff deserved a services portfolio to prove his capacities and improve communication with the Arab World and on the national level.

Kasarji also questioned whether Change and Reform bloc MPs were ineligible to be ministers instead of Gebran Bassil and Mario Aoun, adding that Michel Aoun should have honored the MPs who were insulted on a daily basis because of their political positions.

He said that the distribution process was within the same family, and the Lebanese people were questioning whether “the genetic family disease attacked Aoun.”

“The Armenian bloc might ally with MP Michel Al-Murr during the 2009 elections, especially in the northern Metn area, and the alliance between the National bloc and the Change and Reform bloc will be discussed later on,” Kasarji concluded.

They talk about a national bloc where they sould've talked about a popular bloc (cha3b mean people not nation).
Kassarji asks for ministries to reward MPs as if he never heard of FPM separating MPship and Ministership. And he's talking about he FPM's quota not the block's quota.

I wouldn't give Kassarji's words any importance whatsoever. The guy is nice and all, but most of the time fetih 3a hssebo even vis a vis Elias Skaff.

What's weird is that he's the first one to raise such an issue, and he maybe is the only one not to know that Mario Aoun is not related genetically to GMA. Furthermore, everybody knew that MP Skaff insisted on the agriculture ministry unless there's something we don't know. Concerning the MPs who got bashed everyday and that should be honored by a miniterial post, ya3ne, if an MP is not ready to hear some bashing for the sake of his country, bala ma ya3mel MP. This mentality that if an MP or a minister does his job he should be honored, in my opinion, he should get his salary, and if he doesn't, he should go rest @ home. And Jubran Bassil, uptill now, is doing a great job in his ministry, and I think that FPM, who's president is the head of the C&R bloc, deserve to get 2 ministries especially that SF said the he doesn't want any ministry and that he gives all his trust to GMA.

Kassarji was on Skaff's list, and thus we did not object on him. He is also liked in Zahle, although the guy was never crystal clear. I know him on a personal level, I like him, politically I think we could do better in Zahle. Kassarji was close to the Syrians and at the same time not considered their puppet, he was close to Skaff and at the same time not considered fully behind him, close to Tashnag but not considred Tashnag partisan lie others, I dunno how to explain it, although close to all, he always claimed himself independent.

المركزية - شدد الوزير السابق فارس بويز على ان التغيرات التي حصلت تحتم اسلوبا جديدا من التعاطي في العلاقات اللبنانية - السورية، مشيرا الى ان هذا الامر يرتبط بدرجة الثقة بين البلدين، واوضح بأن السلاح بيد تنظيم منضبط حرر لبنان من الاحتلال في حين ان السلاح الفلسطيني اثبت عجزه عن التصدي لاسرائيل. ولفت الى ان تصور البعض بان كل المفقودين هم في سوريا هو خاطىء، وكشف انه سيترشح في الانتخابات المقبلة وانه مقرب ومتفاهم مع العماد ميشال عون.
وقال بويز في حديث الكتروني "ان سوريا باتت تدرك أن أمورا كثيرة قد تغيرت ولا بد لها من أن تتعاطى مع الموضوع اللبناني تعاط جديد يقوم على تصحيح العلاقة بين البلدين، وسوريا بشخص رئيسها بشار الأسد أكدت ذلك عندما تحدث عن شوائب في العلاقة مع لبنان، وهي لن تطالب بممارسة في لبنان شبيهة بممارستها السابقة.
اضاف: "التغيرات التي حصلت تحتم أسلوبا جديدا من التعاطي في العلاقات اللبنانية السورية، مشيرا إلى أن هذا الأمر يرتبط بدرجة الثقة بين البلدين. وتغيّر أسلوب سوريا في التعاطي يستوجب أيضا تغيّر أسلوب لبنان، لأن المشكلة في السابق سببها الفريقان ويتحمل اللبنانيون جزءا من مسؤولية سوء التعاطي. ومن الضرورة وجود ثقة بين بيروت ودمشق حيال الخيارات الإستراتيجية الكبيرة لتخرج من ضمن هذه الثقة علاقات سليمة وطبيعية".
وأكد بويز ضرورة طمأنة سوريا، من ناحية المضمون، بأن نظرة لبنان لأي تفاهم أو تسوية قد تتمّ مع إسرائيل هي نظرة تضامنية مع سوريا ولا تشجع التوجه نحو حلول منفردة ولن تتجه نحو إضعاف موقع أي من البلدين في عملية التفاوض.
وقال: أما من الناحية الشكلية، فالعلاقات الديبلوماسية بين البلدين أمر ضروري لتبديد الشكوك التي نشأت عند البعض، إلا أن هذا الأمر ليس كل القضية بل عنوانا منها، ومن الضرورة أن يكون مضمون العلاقات بين البلدين سليما، إذ أن العلاقات الديبلوماسية لا تتجاوز كونها نصا رسميا، والمطلوب هو ألا تكون العلاقات شكلية فيما العلاقات الفعلية متوترة.
تابع: ان تبادل العلاقات الديبلوماسية لا يلغي المجلس الأعلى اللبناني-السوري من الناحية القانونية، علما ان دولا عدة تتبادل العلاقات الديبلوماسية ولديها مجلس أعلى. وأوضح انه من الناحية العملية وكون النظام السوري نظاما رئاسيا يجب على العلاقات بين البلدين أن تكون بيد رئيسيهما.
وعن المعاهدة التي تربط لبنان وسوريا، لفت بويز إلى انها لم تطبق بحسن نية وبصدقية، وقال: لا مشكلة فيها إذ أن مضمونها ومكوناتها سليمة مع ضرورة تغيير بعض البنود كتمركز القوات السورية في لبنان وغيرها. ولا يمكن الحكم على المعاهدة إذا كان تطبيقها غير سليم، ومن الضرورة التعاطي مع الموضوع بطريقة علمية وأن نسأل هل أي من هذه البنود يمكن أن يلغى من دون الإساءة للعلاقات اللبنانية السورية"؟
كما سأل "كيف يمكن أن نطالب سوريا بضبط الحدود من دون آلية كالآلية الموجودة في المعاهدة".
وشدد بويز على أن تغير الظروف يفرض على رئيس الجمهورية العماد ميشال سليمان طرح موضوع المعتقلين والمفقودين اللبنانيين في السجون السورية، إلا انه لفت إلى أن طرح هذا الموضوع شيء وحلّه شيء آخر. وتخوف من مفاجآت في هذا الموضوع، وقال: "ان تصور البعض بأن كل المفقودين هم في سوريا هو خاطئ، إذ قد يكون عدد لا بأس به قد اختفى في لبنان على يد المليشيات المحلية، وقد يكون عدد آخر اعتقل في سوريا لمرحلة ما وأفرج عنه بعد ذلك ووقع في يد مليشيات محلية، وقد يكون عدد آخر قد توفي في السجون السورية".
وتابع: "ان المعلومات التي املكها تشير إلى ضرورة عدم التوقّع بأن عدد المفقودين في سوريا كبير وشبيه بالأرقام التي تطرح، ان لا سبب ولا مبرر لبقاء هذا الملف من دون حل".
وعن سلاح المقاومة والسلاح الفلسطيني، اعتبر بويز أن الفارق بين الإثنين كبير فالأول مقاوم وقد تكون هناك تبريرات لوجوده إذ يحق للبنانيين امتلاك السلاح للدفاع عن أرضهم، في حين لا يحق لأي أجنبي على أرض لبنان أن يمتلك سلاحا بذريعة وجود قضية.
وقال: "ان المقاومة أثبتت أن السلاح بيد تنظيم منضبط حرر لبنان من الإحتلال ولا يزال يشكل نقطة قوة في وجه الإعتداءات الإسرائيلية وقد يستعمل كورقة قوة أساسية في المفاوضات، في حين أن لا حاجة للسلاح الفلسطيني الذي أثبت أنه عاجز عن التصدي لإسرائيل وهو في يد تنظيمات مختلفة غير منضبطة ولا مسؤول عنها".
وفي موضوع الإنتخابات النيابية المرتقبة في العام 2009، لفت بويز إلى أن الظروف الإستثنائية التي جعلته يتخذ قرار عدم المشاركة في انتخابات العام 2005 هي "حتما مختلفة الآن"، كاشفا أنه سيترشح في الإنتخابات المقبلة.
وردا على سؤال عن الجهة التي سيتحالف معها، أشار الى ان الحديث عن التحالفات مبكر إلا أنه لفت إلى أنه مقرب من تكتل "التغيير والإصلاح" ومتفاهم مع رئيسه العماد ميشال عون.

the best he can hope is that GMA if he decides to leave an open seat in keserwan, to let him and others such as bon fight for it, and the best wins.
very unlikely for that to happen, but i feel no need for him on our list
tomorrow after winning he will declare independece, we are tired from people who do that.
