Ministry of Agriculture is not a service ministry? what is it then?
What did Kassarji want to give Skaff? Skaff, as an expert in the agriculture domain, fits pretty well to the ministry allocated to him. Kassarji is just talking nonsense.

He added that Skaff deserved a services portfolio to prove his capacities and improve communication with the Arab World and on the national level.

Kasarji also questioned whether Change and Reform bloc MPs were ineligible to be ministers instead of Gebran Bassil and Mario Aoun, adding that Michel Aoun should have honored the MPs who were insulted on a daily basis because of their political positions.

FPM is against MPs becoming ministers. as well, the reasoning in red is just plain silly.

He said that the distribution process was within the same family, and the Lebanese people were questioning whether “the genetic family disease attacked Aoun.”

Mario Aoun is not a relative of GMA. As for Bassil, well so far he has proven to be competent in his ministry.
By the way, Bassil is not related to GMA by blood, but by marriage, so the statement in blue is also meaningless.

“The Armenian bloc might ally with MP Michel Al-Murr during the 2009 elections, especially in the northern Metn area, and the alliance between the National bloc and the Change and Reform bloc will be discussed later on,” Kasarji concluded.

I guess Pakradonian speaks on behalf of tashnag more than Kassarji and he stated numerously that tashnag and FPM are in a political alliance.

What do you guys think ??

Is it confirmed that it was Kassarji indeed who said those things?

and this declaration is just to make a point . skaff wanted the public works portfolio , and it was between the public works or the telecom, for the C & R bloc and we cannot have both . and we all know how bassil ended up taking the telecom instead of skaff taking the public works.

Enno they have one of the most important ministries FPM or C&R could get (even if it is the one that generates the biggest losses)!

Getting a ministry is not a privilege, it is a duty: I hope they will do a great job with the EDL! If they don't, people will say "the opposition thought it could do better but it didn't!" and if he's corrupt, incompetent, lazy, all this would reflect on FPM!

So do your job well and you will be rewarded! Don't do it well, shame on you!

Honestly, I don't know what to answer as I don't know what is Skaff's position - as far as I know, he's still allied with FPM.

I only read this MP's interview which is the least we could say totally laughable.

I know that the notion of political alliance in Lebanon is particular and I know how things work there.

However, this is something with which I don't agree. So if any of FPM's current political allies - and I insist I'm not talking about Skaff in particular -, is allied with FPM only to get a ministerial share which suits him and / or to get his MP position, then I don't care if he's not happy and I really don't care if he breaks the alliance and put himself in the Hariri or any other person's payroll.

I don't even care if it happens that we lose MPs, because if the lebanese chose to give their votes to such people, then they don't deserve to live in a real country. They don't deserve to have a strong state. They don't deserve that people really dedicate their lives for them. They'll stay living in this feudal / services form of society that they supposedly hate. And I'll be very happy to let them enjoy life in the most beautiful mediterranean banana republic.

The people in this area punished Geagea for his crimes in 2005 and their candidate was at the bottom of the losers.....they will do it again in 2009....
