My question about the elections would be how to ensure that unfair advantage isn't given to HA and its allies due to the unlimited supplies of foreign Iranian money and services, and the leverage of an armed militia? Who will oversee that Iranian money isn't used in the upcoming elections? Who will ensure that Iran doesn't get a say in the Lebanese parliament and government through the party it sponsors openly and the alliance around it?

.
I'm so happy to hear this!!! because Dr. Michel mousa is my father's cousin so Dr.michel from my family I was wondering with my father what will happen in 2009 because FPM ran against him in 2005 in maghdouche, so all my family voted for Dr. michel even though they are close to FPM, but my father couldn't vote against his cousin!! so I was asking my father if he thinks that berri will pick dr. michel again he told me that berri ma byetkhala 3ano law chou ma sar!! he trust him so much!! so now I'm happy because Dr. michel is staying and i won't fight with my family again to vote for FPM because GMA will not put a candidate in maghdouche against him lol!!
LF will put someone for sure but it's guaranteed for berri's list!!! ya3ne FPM will be helping dr. michel in 2009 I'm sooooooooooooo happyyyyyyyyy lol!!!

The only soluution to such familial dilemmas is the following constitutionnal revolution : why vote in your families irthplace ? why not vote where you live ? Finally it's the only place you really belong to.
Why the heck no one talks about this issue : that's a beginning of a silution to clientelisme, that's définitely a solution to clanism.
Do you know any developped country where you vote in the birthplace of your ancestors insted of voting where you live ?!!!
I already talked about this issue here and no one reacted. I guess I'm worng ;-)

what's ur problem here?!! The majority of the Christians in these areas are pro FPM.....I don't see u nagging about the other Christian seats in Chouf, Beirut and the North that are controlled by PSP/FM. In these cazas the majority of the Christians are also pro FPM!

The funny (but more sad) is the fact that you are talking about the 2-3 Christian seats that the Shiites can vote for, while neglecting the other 17 that YOUR allies control and won't even bother giving them to the LF/Kataeb/whatevers....
And if i were you those couple seats should be the least of your worries.
Start begging for your share of the cake,cz thats ur safest bet

After working on reducing the electoral age to 18, now there are plans of having the general elections in one day.....Hopefully non-resident Lebanese will be able to vote next year.....
