Is engineering still our stronghold this year?

Is medicine a good prospect kinda like previous years?

What about Arts & Sciences (yalle bte2loub el daffe) ???

Finally, has business succumbed forever to the FM? (be wa2te, it was our 2al3a for three years :(

What about the others? (Health Sciences, Agriculture).

Cheers.

engineering should still be our stronghold except for one year in which there's a guy called Peter Keyrouz,i think it's the 3rd year, so i think mnenkhara2 in the 3rd year, if u remember last year this guy also khara2na in his class. bass the other years we should be fine, so faculty of engineering should be ours as usual.

Faculty of medicine, well in the last couple of years things have been changing a bit, it used to be an easy win for us but what's killing us is the independents movement who in this case are truly independents (well at least most of them)our battle has been with them in the last 2 years.however in general we are usually on good terms with the independents since these guys only run to serve the medical school they don't care about politics in the university in general, so for example last year after the results there was a kind of negotiations between us and them to split the positions in a way that will preserve the interests of everyone.
elections in the medical school (which also includes nursing school and graduates)are different from the rest of the university because each of the four years of medical school has around 80 students so everyone knows everyone and friendships play a big role, last year many FPMers voted for 14 febs candidates because of friendship and vice versa, the same applies for nursing school and graduates.now if u wanna think politically, nursing school should be a win, as for medicine, each of the the 4 years is a battle and actually we're not comfortable at all in Med1 and Med2,Med3 Khabsa shway it all depends on who is gonna run, Med4 we are not comfortable but i think it's better than the other years, as for graduates i don't know anything about the 1st year , the 2nd year will be extremely close, last year the independent candidate won over the mou3arada candidate by 1 or 2 votes, i think this year also is gonna be very close.

Business, no way, just forget about it and i think we shouldn't lose much energy there, they've been having a landslide victory for the past 3 years and i don't think we will be able to do anything in the few years to come, after all Hariri is financially helping many students in this faculty.

Arts and sciences is the crucial faculty since it is the one that has the biggest number of seats in the USFC (5 seats) so the one who wins it will be making a big step towards winning the elections....it has been the reason for our loss in the last 2 years.
i will mention a sad fact : one of the main reasons we have been losing this faculty is that a certain percentage of FPMers don't vote for non christian candidates and since the results are usually very close every vote counts, last year for example if u look at the vote counts u will see the difference between the christian candidates and the non christian candidates on the mou3arada lists.......these FPMers support FPM because it's a traditionally chrisitian movement and not for any of the things FPM truly stands for, so we hope this year we're gonna overcome this and make people vote on a political basis.......

Concerning Health sciences and Agriculture i don't have any info, but the elections are getting close so i should know some info soon, if i do i will share it.

i'm a usj student flsh & of course an fpmer but what i noticed for this year is that the planning for the elections is soooooo wrong since unright people are being chosen to represent the fpm list!!!!
if we used to win that doesn't mean we will always win!!!

Peter Kayrouz doesn't have anything to do with the LF at AUB.Geagea is his uncle bass the dude only cares about himself and isn't into politics. His year also has the mandoub of FM in the uni.We have been losing that year because it contains a high number of LF and FM at the same time.
And i beg to differ on Med1, we are VERY strong there.
We lost in FAS because the guy that was put in charge was the wrong person to do the job.And about christian voting for FPM only, those don't count much since both sides have people who vote for the christians (or muslims)only. We always come ahead of our allies so if thats their reason of losing, what is ours??

I never said Peter Keyrouz is LF......
as for Med1 no we are not VERY strong,if instead of using "very strong" u said we are "OK" or "our situation is not bad" it would have been debatable enno ken fiya w ma fiya, bass no it's not an easy year and whoever told u that is lying or doesn't know, med1 is tight, i have been looking at the class list with a couple of Med1 FPMers and believe me it's not gonna be easy.

last year we lost because of Shitty work , FPMers were very lazy and didn't do anything.
u cannot come ahead of your allies if ur running on the same list, FPMers did not vote properly for shiite candidates....how do u explain it when in a list the christian candidates win and the shiite candidates lose.it means that HA and AMAL are voting for us and we are not appropriately Voting for them.this issue should be tackled in the electoral meetings, or we will get a blow this year.remember AUB is hard for sectarian reasons (FM sunnis Percentage is high) if we wanna win it we need to be working full power and if we win it it's gonna be by an extremely small margin.

I agree on the shitty work part.
But if our candidates are stronger and more presentable, that doesn't mean we aren't voting for them. And iza chi its them that back stab us, like they did in engineering 3 last year, and in business sophomore.

in my faculty at usj their is alot of muslim student nearly half!. their is 2 representative for each year. its always 1 christian candidate and 1 chi3ite from the opposition side and 1 christian and one sunnite from the loyalists side. christians always come tete de liste wether they are fpm or LF. why? because hizbullah and FM have the easiest pointage to do,they look into names and by their sect know to which party they belong. wa2et el intikhabet bi sobbo sab kelloun. however u always have a percentage of christians mafik todbotoun they are either independant and vote based on friendships or pro.

Default FPM AUB Elections 2008 - 24th October 2008

To all our friends and fellow activists,

As you all know, a new year has already started in all Lebanese universities, and most particularly, in AUB. As you all know, AUB elections are some of the hardest and most challenging given the particular nature of AUB as a microcosmic representation of Lebanon.

We will be keeping you updated with our events, and subsequent movements. Especially those related with the upcoming elections.

For now, a message to all current AUB FPMers on the forum, please send me a private message so we can come into contact in case we have not already met in person within AUB.
