engineering should still be our stronghold except for one year in which there's a guy called Peter Keyrouz,i think it's the 3rd year, so i think mnenkhara2 in the 3rd year, if u remember last year this guy also khara2na in his class. bass the other years we should be fine, so faculty of engineering should be ours as usual.
Faculty of medicine, well in the last couple of years things have been changing a bit, it used to be an easy win for us but what's killing us is the independents movement who in this case are truly independents (well at least most of them)our battle has been with them in the last 2 years.however in general we are usually on good terms with the independents since these guys only run to serve the medical school they don't care about politics in the university in general, so for example last year after the results there was a kind of negotiations between us and them to split the positions in a way that will preserve the interests of everyone.
elections in the medical school (which also includes nursing school and graduates)are different from the rest of the university because each of the four years of medical school has around 80 students so everyone knows everyone and friendships play a big role, last year many FPMers voted for 14 febs candidates because of friendship and vice versa, the same applies for nursing school and graduates.now if u wanna think politically, nursing school should be a win, as for medicine, each of the the 4 years is a battle and actually we're not comfortable at all in Med1 and Med2,Med3 Khabsa shway it all depends on who is gonna run, Med4 we are not comfortable but i think it's better than the other years, as for graduates i don't know anything about the 1st year , the 2nd year will be extremely close, last year the independent candidate won over the mou3arada candidate by 1 or 2 votes, i think this year also is gonna be very close.
Business, no way, just forget about it and i think we shouldn't lose much energy there, they've been having a landslide victory for the past 3 years and i don't think we will be able to do anything in the few years to come, after all Hariri is financially helping many students in this faculty.
Arts and sciences is the crucial faculty since it is the one that has the biggest number of seats in the USFC (5 seats) so the one who wins it will be making a big step towards winning the elections....it has been the reason for our loss in the last 2 years.
i will mention a sad fact : one of the main reasons we have been losing this faculty is that a certain percentage of FPMers don't vote for non christian candidates and since the results are usually very close every vote counts, last year for example if u look at the vote counts u will see the difference between the christian candidates and the non christian candidates on the mou3arada lists.......these FPMers support FPM because it's a traditionally chrisitian movement and not for any of the things FPM truly stands for, so we hope this year we're gonna overcome this and make people vote on a political basis.......
Concerning Health sciences and Agriculture i don't have any info, but the elections are getting close so i should know some info soon, if i do i will share it.
