I can never deny how much LFers are very motivated and put their efforts to influence voters and win the elections. What made them lose the elections, in my opinion, are two main things:
- using sectarian arguments: "Shia are taking over the uni, you've got to vote for us"
- putting the voters under pressure by calling them 10 times a day on daily basis

FPMers do not use such strategies. They are too distant yet so close. They don't put any voter under pressure. Still they can win more votes if they work harder and harder throughout the year. Anyway, FPMers by nature do not show off whereas LFers, even if they did a tiny things, they would show the people that "We did this and we did that". This is a smart strategy from them.

Anyway, congratulations to FPMers. It would be really nice from them if they try to solve with LFers the "Shia" dilemma at uni. It's not suitable to make our "Shia" friends feel inferior or intruders. We have to keep in mind that Christianity teaches us openness towards other expressions of faith.
Plz answer this, who did you vote for?

Also, "They are too distant yet so close. They don't put any voter under pressure. Still they can win more votes if they work harder and harder throughout the year. this is a smart strategy from FPM, it shows that when we work and do BIG things not tiny things, we dont show off but we let the students see and judge, but when they do a tiny thing and show off, students will laugh at them, i agree that LFers are much more motivated and work harder much harder, drop courses do whatever they can to get a vote. but FPMers still manage to get more votes while totally relaxed :).

and as u said: "FPMers do not use such strategies. They are too distant yet so close. They don't put any voter under pressure."

That is the smart strategy, that is what makes us kick their *** now and anytime. the students know we are there without being in their face 24/7.

Definitely FPM because they are respectful, know their limits and accept differences.

As we all know by now, every time FPM and its Allies win any university elections, the losers quickly relate this win to the Shiite (Hezbollah) votes.

As a result, I always wondered about the following question:

1- The Penrose award is given each year to one student in each faculty so you can not say that he got the most prestigious award in AUB since several other students got it the same year. You can say in Engineering but not in AUB.

2- Hany Tohme: SRC twice, USFC and President of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, all of them with FPM, got the Penrose award last year in FEA.

So please check your facts before giving such statements

For the sake of credibility, Hani was never in the USFC.SRC twice, Treasurer and President where he left a very hard place to fill.
