Whether you have 10 or 60 FPM deputies does NOT matter. These Syrian snakes will take over and next thing you know GMA is in Paris AGAIN, Geagea is in jail AGAIN and the country is under occupation AGAIN!

You got it all wrong my friend. SG was put in jail by WJ and RH. The dumpy SG thought that he made a deal to get rid of GMA and made the wrong move. WJ played him like a drum.

Had WJ and SH got what they wanted in the past 4 year and got rid of GMA, the sho ismo hyda would have ended up in jail agian. By the way, this option is still good if WJ need to pay any dues to any one. WJ can always use the isreali spies and link them to " sho ismo hyda" and he would be visiting the 7th floor under ground. GOD, some of you live in la la land. Get it thru your thick head, SG is a no body. He is there to be used and abused.

this scare tactic may work on narrow minded people but
practically, it does not work and i will tell you why...
it does matter to have 35 MPs because it will make you eligible
for partnership which means that you will have a considerable
number of ministers(may be not 1/2 but at least 1/3 and the rest of
the half may go to the president) so....even if Jamil Sayyed,
Wiam Wahhab, Abdel Rahim Mrad, Assaad Hirden, Elie Ferzli,
Assim Anso become ministers, they will have C&R bloc and the president as partners.
if you still can't figure out what does it mean to have Michel Aoun
as partner visit this link :
INTERNATIONAL HIGH IQ SOCIETY | Iq Tests
press the first button on the left,if you get more than 126 points, you can join the society.....
you can pass it to your Harrington graduates as well.

one third of the parliament required to reject any change you are worried about in the lebanese constitution and the taking over the whole government by the "syrian puppets" is 43 seats all we need from you is get 8 seats from your allies and leave the other 35 for us.

Well the thread is about where the power lies. I personally do not care about the sectarian divisions inside each block. No matter of which sect the MPs are, where their decision lies is what is important to me.

It was very obvious to us what was happening in Siniora government. How many times did we hear the Christian MPs open their mouths? Never.

In our block, although we would maybe have 3 non Christian MPs, those will go by the C&R block decisions, so here to me their sect is not relevant.

But as you said, remove those 3 and you still have a huge Christian block.

The other flaw in this argument stems from the original author's assumption (J. Aziz) that FM MPs represent the Sunni sect Only!! Therefore, Farid Makari, Pharaeon, Hobeish, etc....will serve their Sunni constituents in Koura, Ashrafieh, Akkar, etc.....which is totally false!! these candidates will be elected because of the superb sevices they provide their local citizens!! so FM does attract a multi-confessional set of MPs...unlike LF or Kateab for example. So bottom line, we are comfortable with an FM majority in parliament and NOT an HA or FPM!!
What's wrong with you, have you been around or were you born yesterday? Do you know for how many years Pharaon has been MP for the Achrafieh district? Can you tell us what has he done there to bring the real representation to Achrafieh? Tell me, in 2000 and 2005 if one was not allied to Hariri in Achrafieh, would he make it, in ma ken ykoun.
Are you aware of the majliss el baladiyeh of Beirut? Man, you were against Hariri before 2005 do you remember that era or you became amnesic? Did you forget how Hariri ruled and still rules the majliss el Baladiyeh? Was Paharaon able to do anything about it?
I am just asking you to use your brain and your memory, put your present alliances aside, and try to think as if you are not an LFer but a citizen of Achrafieh. Can you tell me, in all honesty that Achrafieh's voice was not actually stolen by Hariri? Ma tetnakaro lal terikh, el terikh ma byerham.

We can also point to another flaw in the analysis. FPM candidates in Jbeil and Ba@bda will be elected primarily by shiite voters since the Christian voters will be split in those two casa. So Jean Aziz neglects this fact, conviniently, although in politics nothing is for free and FPM will own certain political capital to the HA partisans!!
Y
You are not getting it are you? The Chiite votes in both those districts are a minority. So whether FPM gets the votes or not is not the issue here nor who FPM is representing in those districts. The MPs that C&R has in those 2 districts will not be sitting at HA or Amal or Hariri or Joumblat table. They will be sitting on OUR table. See the difference or too hard?

Anyway....the whole J. Aziz ARTICLE IS HYPOTHETICAL. We got the message, he makes a valid point, but I had some reservations against it.

The person who sent the email to X in the first place sent it way before Aziz wrote his article. So do not tie both things. Asslan the numbers Aziz has put are different from the ones X has in his opening post.

In a civilized country, that would be called clientalism, which is not the case in the Lebanese Second Republic.

these stamps should be removed from the market as soon as the oppositon takes controlof the next government, for the simple following reason:

the stamps say: Presient Rafic Hariri!!!!!!!!!!!

according to the Constitution only one person is entitled "PRESIDENT" and that is the Christian Maronite President of the Republic.

the others are "Prime Minister" and "Speaker" and not Presidents AT ALL, and by any means they should not be refferred to as Presidents.

ayya balad 3ando THREE HEADS, THREE PRESIDENTS????!!!!

Khlosna min hal maskhara ba2a...Rafic Hariri is a Martyr just like other hundred of thousands of Martyrs, not more, not less.

this is only one of the many incarnations of FM's will and intention to SWALLOW what's left of Christian rights and twist the identity of a diverse Lebanon. Now its te stamps and the 2 Feb holiday, next step will be the Municipality of beirut issuing a permit to build a church in the name of "Martyr Hariri".

this anarchy and hegmony shoul reach their end by 8 June!!!

regards

The problem is not with the word "President" it is with the thief that is on the stamps...
