what Kind of internet connection you have? (speed, NAT..)

I have DSL 256kbps but 3GB aren't enough, After 10 days of each month i have to stop using the internet (so i have a wireless connection 56kbps).

I am really tired , what I have to do? im thinking of buying satelitte internet do u know any ISP for that ?

How do u manage to stay on your Limit? or do u have unlimited bandwidth?

U can get a downstream from the satellite the upstream is not practical and i think it is not affordable,
So you have to use the land upstream ull be back again the same infrastructure

well at the moment i don't have to worry about any Limit or problems as i have this conex:

and NO this is NOT in Lebanon(cuz i'd have to a billionaire to afford such connection like this in Leb)

can download many things fast.. Youtube... No wait.... Facebook...no Wait

Counter-Strike online? no problems... getting max 35ms on a Major server

the price for such a connection(which is actually considered to be slow on E.U standards, ex:look at france's 100mbps or Amsterdam's 1000mbps/1000mbps Fiber serice): a mere 25$/month(which is actually down from $30/month last month)

all happy and never no cuts..... but sadly for me this speed will end for me in a few days since... well i'm coming back to Leb!

in Leb... what i got? a stupid slow n lagfull 430/64 kbps(which they actually call 512/64 "DSL"!) with a 4GB/month Limitation...

Counter-strike Online? no Problem.. getting a min of 300ms on the closest Server

Youtube? no Problem.... waiting Minutes for A video to actually load

Downloads? no problem... just pay up a couple of 100s of Extra $$Dollars$$ on ur "DSL" bill then ur happy?

Facebook? not a problem too i guess.. Considering most Lebanese use Facebook more than Google i bet they set up a server in Leb just for us!

Dynamic Shared un-monitored IP(which i can't even access my Router since Ogero has every1's Passes!)

The Price: $46.5/month+over usage Bill(since i'm not the only family member that uses it :/).. tops out $60-$70 average monthly

when was this conex set up:back in 06-07(if i remember correctly) .. 2-3 years since they started the service and NOTHING... i mean.. NOTHING HAS IMPROVED! NOT the prices Nor the service.. but goddam.. NOT EVEN THE QUOTAA!!!

Contact penta group for sat download, you need to be familiar with this stuff to install a download dish (penta card, satellite, coaxial, config, etc...)

They have 1 Mbps deals going through a shared pool (also, not the most reliable of methods).

it is illegal to upload via satellite in Leb. I would not recommend that you do so.

I have IDM DSL 512down/128up (double the speed at night), i have unlimited night traffic so I schedule all my downloads after 11pm and do some necessary downloads during the day and i manage not to bypass the quota.

I have a 4 GB limit per month and usually I do go over the limit....

Gotta love Lebanon and its miserable network infrastructure........

i have a 4 GB bandwidth limit / month and usually go past it a couple of days early. im then forced to exchange a few dollars from my online account for bandwidth MBs. i then proceed to curse marwan hamade and all the other scamming thugs in suits that make our lives miserable.

* 100 GB/month download/upload usage
* 2 dynamic IP addresses

for $US 26/month.


at school:

1 Gbps with unlimited download/upload bandwidth (I think)
