As I understand it's a dev framework for 3D games whatsoever. Have you had a previous experience with similar things ?

hi man, yep man i have

but i'm going berzerk right now over this hehe

u dont have to pay them anything if ur revenue is less than 5000$ if u use it

and if it's above 5000$ u pay them 25% royalty

that is still beyond awesome

us poor indies in general had horrible indie engines to work with and as for AAA engines we had to sell our souls to publishers before u could take a look at the NDA let alone at a AAA engine sdk

now this will send shockwaves across the industry for everyone, devs, other engines, modders..

last week Unity3d just released its Indie version for free but this news is way WAY bigger

yes siree

this is no mere toy it's still gonna take a good team to use it well

and it will require more man power than normal indie engines

but still who cares, this is awesome, indie teams and modders will now work their *** off to fashion cool new games with this ;)

worthy of note here is that this new free/indie Unreal engine development kit doesnt come with the source code of the engine

i'm not surpised here and it's not a problem either for such an engine with so much powerful toolsets and comprehensive high level scripting system and built in engine features
