As soon as you start downloading, if you abuse or somehow download too much, they will downgrade your account. Also you should check if unlimited download will be at the same 256kbps speed or 64-128kbps.

However, Fair Usage Policy is usually flexible, and it can be changed depending on several factors.. like number of subscribers and load. Most of the ISPs change usually their FUP during time.

Believe me there is no such unlimited downloads and quota in Lebanon.

Welcome to the Orange Room accuratetax1, ... you can check all earlier posts in this thread .. you may find what you need ... but i can list some of the ISP providers i know:

Ogero: OGERO - DSL Information
Terranet: DSL
IDM: ADSL Broadband

PS: when you present your application, Ogero will be the faster to accept it and make the installation...... the 2 others Terranet and IDM will let you wait more time coz they have to present your application to Ogero who should give them the approval first ... this will make you wait chi 3 months .....So if you need it as soon as possible apply to ogero even though Ogero has no special plans like unlimited traffic and double speed at night

Not true, at least for IDM ADSL, if your line supports double the speed then you can get it, and there is no such thing as downgrading your account if you download too much!

I have IDM limite (with free night traffic after 11 pm ). it can get annoying when u have somthin big and important that u wanna download & have to wait til 11 pm , but otherwise it is great & by far the best internet connection i've ever had/seen in Lebanon.

I got 4 days ago a DSL connection from Ogero (128kbps/32kbps).

I can't understand how they count the downloaded megabytes! They counted so far 450 Megabytes while I barely downloaded a couple of 20 MBs files to test the connection!!!!

Can someone knowledgeable please explain to me how they count them? If I open a page containing a lot of pics without saving them, do they consider them as downloaded? If yes I am really screwed up! What about chatting on MSN and sending emails?

They have also already counted 33 uploaded megabytes and I don't have the slightest idea where they came from!

I am starting to wish I didn't change my cable connection which was also 3 times faster in terms of download speed!!

I hope someone can help me!
