True, but then you'll be dealing with 2 connections to pay for, i.e. Paying 100 dollars or more.
As for the latency and ping time, it will definitely be much higher because whatever you send, will take more time to go the full round trip to get back to you. Higher ping means bad online gaming.

There is plenty satellite ISP's
This one(sateline) looks like SCAM or extremely unprofessional. I have feeling some kid made this website.

you need at least 512Kbps upload to enjoy a 8Mbps+ download speed. That is the minimum...

2 way satellite or VSAT is illegal in Lebanon... if using a one way SAT for download only u need to have IP Forwarding enabled from ur ISP on whatever connection ur on and thats usually very hard to do unless u know someone directly in the ISP tech department.

I had the chance to use an internet connection via satellite for a week once, uploads and downloads. latency was unbearable, at best it was a second... and it has nothing to do with the provider, the link was setup by the company that creates and lunches the satellites and we had a dedicated private link. it's just the unavoidable propagation latency...

1) In Lebanon 2 ways satellite internet connection is ILLEGAL.
2) About orbit 2 ways connection, as number 1) its illegal. Plus dont forget that your download and upload is charged by the MB & is expensive.
3) Dont confuse with the unlimited access 24/7 , and unlimited bandwidth .
4) Latency and weather factor affect your download speed / time.

P.S - So lets hope our telecomunication ministry speed up the expansion of DSL everywhere and introduce soon the fiberoptic network to the "rural" area :)

I would be interested to know how it works.

At work when I download a file @ 9-10 mbps I see the upload flat at 200kbps. I tried to limit the upload to 33kbps and the download didnt even hit 4mbps.
