About cloning, and technology vs. religion... Its a thread in itself. But my two cents on it is that religion & science, if you look deep enough, are saying similar things, just differently, leading to similar conclusions. Again its a long subject in itself, but I'll say this much using the religion the majority in this forum seem to belong to: Father & Son & Holy Spirit = One God Amen. The priest tells you, based on the religion, that that's highly metaphorical, representing many things in the world as 'One'. Science tell us that essentially all atoms in everything are the same, its just their different formations once put together that gives a tree vs. a human. ------ One is Many & Many is One.
"The atom is the basic building block of all matter. It is the smallest unit that has all the properties of one particular element. Atoms make up the human body; plants and animals;air and water; and all of the planets, stars and galaxies in the universe." Source:

Not to mention the big bang theory.. all was 'One', BOOM, dispersed fireballs, some froze, made planets, on this one life started at some point, etc.
Bref, I think we are still very far from even having a clue about what this whole charade/puzzle (scientifically speaking) is all about called life. Any new technologies, going back a bit to the point of this thread, whether we chose to view them as 'bad' or 'good', divide or unify, would still be a relative judgement by far - given how far we know we are from the truth (remember in science, we rely on fact about what we know not belief...). Therefore, any new technology is good because its a step closer towards our overall understanding of all 'This' around us. A step closer to understanding God, since he's all this around us in religious terms.. Killo byirbah ma3na

When we start believing that we know mostly just about everything, the time until we get there I leave to your discretion, perhaps then, technology might risk
truly dividing.
