okay thx , it worked again , without me doing anything
as for the member who talked about the mac address , it has nothing to do with what i am talking about
i solved this by setting the same mac address on my laptop , my problem was that that my network card is not even detecting the cable that's plugged in , i still don't know what was the problem :s | | | | | Orange Room Moderator

like boris said,
If they are using a Cisco switch, the link will shutdown if theres another mac address detected , thus your cable isn't detected.
besides your network card being defective but you say its not, I can't think of another reason, | | | | | Registered Member

Hi
this is my new trial to publishing a website.
I have an application that can run on any Operating system but I prefer to use Solaris 10. Its requirements are apache/php/mysql.
My questions are:
I hear that most of the Lebanese sites are hosted in the US where it is cheaper than here. Can you please PM me with these companies?
I need advice from those who are familiar with web hosting: How should proceed? All I need is a server or a virtual machine that is accessible to public and where I can access it remotely to change files. Could you please send me the steps I must go through?
thank you in advance. | | | | | Registered Member
