in my opinion, and the opnion of many, the best machines for gaming are a PC, the XBOX360, or the wii.
a PC and the xbox will provide the type of experience that the PS3 can, but better.
there are so many problems with the Ps3 that ppl dont know where to start.
all the hype about a greater proccessor, is for nothing, as you have literally a handful of games that can take advantage of it. the architecture of the procesor is so new and complicated, that developpers cant take advantage of it or take such a long time to finally get a game out.
end result...if you are a graphics freak, stick with the xbox or PC. xbox is the weakest of the 3 in terms of processing power, but the games that end up on the xbox are the best looking ones because developpers CAN squeeze every last advantage out of its architecture. the PC is potentially better, as long as you got the cash. PC interface is also a lot better [mouse and keyboard].
games are esentially the same on all 3 systems.
the wii on the other hand is a different experience. its for the non-graphics-whores out there. gameplay is excellent. dont be fooled into thinking its just for children. pick the right games. many games are just have poorly designed motion control inserted in them. many other games are the same as the ones on the other systems, but end up being scored better due to the addition of the motion control experience.
