nah, to declare it as such only for the sake Fable 2 is overkill,

now if Emmy Rossum came with the package too then i would be seriously inclined to agree with u hehe

I had the ROD. I bought a PS3.

My friend just had the ROD (although he had the new version of the 360 which supposedly reduced the chance of the ROD), he will buy a PS3.

Trust me, you won't know how much a ROD sucks until you experience one...

Well it's a choice you have to make, in my opinion each has its advantages and disadvantages.
Console (PS3, 360 or whatever console)
+ is cheaper
+ no compatibility/upgrade issues
+ some additional titles
+ you can plug it to your HD tv (it can be done nowadays with a recent laptop that has an hdmi output) which gives the possibility of gaming while enjoying the comfort of your couch

PC
+ better performance (when well equipped)
+ storage and memory are cheap
+ possibility to upgrade and thus follow the technological evolution
+ some games are easier on pc (using mouse control it's easier to play red alert like games, FPS games in my opinion)

As for me, I went for a PC. I have a very well equipped PC (1 year old), it's an intel Q9550 running on an Asus Maximus II formula with a GTX280 video card and a WD velociraptor hard drive! And believe me, no console on earth matches the 1080p image quality I have on my Full HD screen, the speed of charging the game and sound quality.

You guys need to compare apples to apples of course if you ditch $5000 on a PC it will have better graphics and faster yada yada, you would have paid 10 times more the price of a PS3. That's the reason consoles were invented, so people can save money on their hardware.
Also what's better a wii or PS3, also the two things are completely different, although the wii has much lower specs it is cheaper and targets the casual non hardcore gamer.

here we go again beating around the bush.. hehe

it's not a console vs pc comparison

it's a ps3 vs pc comparison

the ps3 has a problem with the quantity of quality titles available

that's why the xbox360 gained ground

and even if we talk about the xbox360 now that has hardware problems too

so, again, under the risk of repeating myself, consoles and pcs can live happily together under ur safe roof for they serve difference purposes but the ps3 is not like the famous ps2 who actually didnt have any serious probs, hek the ps2 is still outselling the ps3 right this second

there is no match between the ps3 and an average monitorless pc that costs around 500-700$ performance wise these days, even any old 2.4ghz+ core 2 duo with any vga above the old 8800gt (like the 9800gt and not crp like the 9400) can run games that look as good as the ps3 or just better and most can be connected to a tv

now practically for the discussion, i will suppose one can afford all he wants to buy

so what would i buy... well the only reason i would buy a ps3 is god of war3 which is kinda overkill of an option in my book hehe

so yes i might go out and buy that ps3 in that perfect i can afford everything world but it still wont be as useful as my pc nor my ps2 nor my psp

same goes for the xbox360, and although i'd hate to admit it since i'm a playstation fanboy, the weaker xbox360 even with hardware probs proved to be more useful than the ps3 in the end

now everybody has his own different stuff he bought in the end and wants to enjoy his purchase, hence we are not trying to force anything on anyone, but for the sake of posterity and little kiddies who will become future historians we are just noting how much of a failure the ps3 sadly is/was hehe
