hehe, good question

but lately judging from the lack of good titles for the ps3

and the super duper pretty games on the pc

i'd say the ps3 lost the battle

now look at the ps2, the ps2 was a great invested, it rivaled the pc and maintained its ground

many of us had a pc + ps2

but the ps3 just isnt such a success story

the only ps3 game i will miss is God of War 3 :)

The old debate of PC vs console gaming is on again....

PC vs PS3?
I'll stick with the PS3.

- Gaming from the comfort of your couch
- More practical to game on a big HDTV
- Exclusive games you won't find on the PC (inFamous, Killzone 2, God of War 3, etc....)
- Don't have to constantly update your system to enjoy the latest games. I mean, with the PS3, you just have to buy the game and you'll directly be able to play it. With the PC, you have to check if your system can handle the graphics and such.

Don't get me wrong, the PC is a great machine to game on especially games of the FPS and MMORPG genres. But I prefer the PS3 for my gaming times.

PS3 all the way baby! Playing F1 or NHL 10 on a PC doesn't come close to playing on 1080p on a 46" screen. A PC is fine if you're at the car dealership waiting for an oil-change or at the airport waiting for your next flight, but if I'm in my own home in the comfort of my recliner, nothing beats the PS3.

I disagree with you in this point

My computer (Core 2 Qaud Q6600 and 8800GTS) which I bought more than two years ago can handle any modern game, and many modern games can still run on high details.

Also, in the future all what I need is to change the VGA to handle newer games at high details. There is no need to change anything else.

Also, most PS3 games has much worse graphics than PC anyway. PS3 runs most games at 720p and some even lower like COD4 which is only 600p (1024 x 600). Even an outdated and low end VGA like 8600GT can run COD4 at that low resolution (if not better) with high details

I suggest that everyone do some google search before saying that PS3 or xbox 360 run games at 1080p

PS3 can output 1080p but doesn't mean games are rendered at that resolution. There are very few games that run at native 1080p. Most games are rendered at 720p or lower, then it is upscaled to 1080p.

guys this is not a debate about pc vs consoles

it's about pc vs ps3 in particular

and in that aspect the ps3 is way less of a match to the pc as the ps2 was

aya titles aya ballout, the ps3 has a serious lack of quantity quality titles and that's a fact

so while i have a pc + ps2 + psp, i dont see the ps3 as another essential console to have

simple as that :)

Just to be accurate, there are PCs that can not play 5 years old games (computers with inlet integrated graphics).

So what I mean by the comparison between PC and PS3 is that if someone wants to enjoy the best 2008/2009 games, should he go and build a PC with the newest video card and with an i7 or a Core 2 Quad processor (and that will cost him $$$) or save some money and buy a PS3 (and also play the best games).

FYI if you want to even remotely enjoy the PS3, you will have to crank out 800$ for an HD tv. So 400+800 = 1200$. Which is about 200$ more than a PC which could run any game on highest detail.
