Default Once you go mac you never go back - 8th July 2008

I have been using mac products since the beginning of the year. I have got an iMac and a macbook pro and believe me, I will never ever buy anything other than mac computers and laptops.

I am running the not so stable vista and the pretty good XP simultaneously with the extremely fabulous Leopard and I have never had any problem.

So if you are getting a new computer or laptop, consider getting a mac, but I know in Lebanon the prices are a bit higher than the regular prices, but if you are in the US or canada and you are a student, there is a $100-250 educational discount.

PS: I DON'T have any antivirus softwares installed on Leopard, just on windows.

please share your positive or negative experience.

I've been asking for advice for the past 6 months lol. Everyone gives you a different opinion and it's so confusing! I haven't used a mac laptop or computer before, PCs are more popular in oz... But I was thinking of going for a mac laptop...

So, you say we should go for mac?

Any other opinions? Thanks for the thread! Maybe we can get some more ideas before we decide...

100 % go for the mac.
their operating system is superior and I got used to it in a matter of days, but worst case scenario: just install windows on the mac.

Fact: it has been proven that vista runs on mac faster than it runs on any other PC.

just try it first.

i wouldn't call vista unstable, it just needs higher end hardware than XP
going mac is an issue, it's all about software availability, and higher hardware prices. apple charges a preimum over comparative hardware from other brands for name and design, and they are very proprietary with their stuff, if yu want to switch from windows, get yourself a decent laptop and use ubuntu

It was 3 years ago the last time i used a PC.

Mac is very convenient to me. It gives me the strength and the freedom
of a Unix kernel and the user friendly interface.

Vista may not be unstable but still, it's voted one of the worse applications of 2007.

CNet.co.uk

Yahoo

Keznews

and many more (google it: top 10 worse softwares of 2007)
