Default Nokia N96 vs Samsung Omnia vs Iphone 3G - 10th September 2008

Hi All,

I want to change my current phone ( i have a Nokia N70), and i reduced my choices to mainly 2 phones : The samsung Omnia and the Nokia N96. There is also a 3rd possible choice to compare with, that is the Iphone 3G (which is a choice that i don't like).

So i want to know, if you have some feedback mainly on the Nokia N96 and on the Samsung Omnia.

One sentence summarize it all: the N96 is a hell of a phone.

If you are looking for more than just a phone, Iphone is the greatest thing ever built since windows 95,

else the other choices arent that great, Nokia's phone is similar to the N95, minor additions only, using it for browsing or as a music player isn't practical.

n96 and Samsung Omnia are practically very close to each other. Only the n96 have a better display. I'll definately go for the n96.
Iphone is just a fancy instrument to browse the internet; No bluetooth connectivity to any device except apple, worse camera ever, low quality sound when music player is on external speakers, limited programs compared to the symbian operating system used by nokia, irreplacbale battery, and the list goes on.

The N96 has one drawback against the omnia : it has no touch screen while the Omnia does

I don't like the Iphone, personally i consider it a very "closed" system.

Helloooooooooo

Seriously you can't compare.

15 reasons to buy an N96 vs. any of the rest:
1. 16GB Flash memory. Expandable to 32GB.
2. Changeable battery with universal charger
3. 5 megapixel camera with Karl Zeiss lens and dual led flash
4. Video recording like DVD quality
5. Music player with support for all types of media (mp3, aac, wma, mp4, amr)
6. Sharing of content via Bluetooth and PC Suite
7. Email, chat & web browsing using WIFI & GPRS
8. New S60 software
9. N-Gage gaming with 3 pre-loaded titles
10. Dedicated media keys with dual slide
11. Widest range of accessories
12. Stereo FM radio and internet radio support
13. Pre-loaded content with full transformers movie and Rotana songs
14. TV Out capability
15. Built in A-GPS and maps with 1 month free navigation in any country in the world
