Dell laptops exterior paint starts to fade in a year for example, HP software and drivers are a complete mess, so is Vaio's. Toshiba's laptops... well i prefer not talking about it... I will check the reviews and see.
Is that its price in Lebanon? in that case I would look for better specs, I can expand my budget till ~2000$ (as I said I am looking for a laptop that lasts a bit). When I bought my first laptop in 2001, they came up with centrin, or something better can't remember exactly, the next month. When i bought my centrino, core duo showed up... I don't want to make this mistake again... So any other additional suggestions? |
Hi michom, ASUS are way better than you think.
Asus has served as an ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) for many brand names you see out on the market today. In other words, they're not new at this game and have made laptops for companies such as HP and Dell.
ASUS also produces components for other manufacturers such as:
Apple Inc. (iPod, iPod Shuffle, MacBook)
Alienware
Falcon Northwest
Palm, Inc.
HP
Sony Computer Entertainment (Playstation 3)
I would pick an ASUS over Dell or HP. I recommend you to stay away from HP as I had really bad experiences with it and from Sony as they are way overpriced and the battery dies after few months ( happened to me with all my vaio laptops and I swear I will not purchase any next time ).
The DV6-2020 seems to be interesting but I'd rather buy a laptop from the dealer not from pcandparts to ensure you get a valid warranty ( we all know how pcandparts gets the hardware).
it's a 1.6GHZ core i7 and Display (1366 x 768) with Video Card: N Vidia GT230
HP still hasnt got any review yet so Id rather wait to see what's cooking.
ASUS got 89+% in most of the reviews claimed to be a top performing gaming machine.
