lool. Believe me Red Pheonix I was laughing at the silliness of the solution. I mean I was really really frustrated for almost a month now and suspected everything on the computer and internet except exceed. I do not know why I did not suspect exceed. Even the speed went up tremendously. (speed test result went up from 1200 to 7800 Kbps)

You are absolutely right. I need to get it work without ending exceed. I will reinstall it and report on the result.

I do not know how many use exceed but it caused me a lot of distress and headache.

X11 server and client, u can run the remote desktop of let's say a unix or solaris or linux box over a network on ur own machine. rerouting it it as it where. Exceed is not the only X11 server solution for windows, their are other none-commercial freeware solutions out there such as Xming.

or ur machine can run an app that requires an X11 server on ur own windows rig.

Glad you solved your problem. Notwithstanding, you should still do what I suggested.

Here is my update on the issue.

Slow performance with Internet Explorer when Socks Client is installed internet download&rank=2

it seems that it is a known conflict (%##^@#^$@ exceed).

I keep updating this thread with the latest because I like to document things in case other people had the same problem so they do not get frustrated as much as I was.

Have you tried using a modern GNU/Linux? Like Ubuntu?

No I did not, in the past 10 years at least. It is a big hassle for me. I only need to run two programs that would need such an environment, namely GAMBIT and FLUENT, otherwise I do not need Lunix. This is why I am using exceed.
