friendofzeus, u are making a big drama out of the google thing hehe, it's a drama out of nothing :)
plus u are abusing my honesty in this regard, if googling is such a bad thing who is to say u and others are not googling too but failing at it?

i see no point in posting screens of irrelevant obscure games, and researching an obscure game u don't know the name of ain't as easy as 1 2 3 when u have to use text to google for it based on ur our collection of heuristic genra related keywords.

so i ask u again to plz cut down on the drama.
u make it sound as if i google all the answers & by a simple presto click, that is so far from reality i don't wanna bother to justify no more.

Its kind of the point of the thread. If we were to post hugely successful and popular games, it wouldnt be any fun would it? Almost everyone has played aoe, cod, rd, wow, w3, d2. I kinda wanted to make it challenging in posting some hard games. You want to post screenies of popular games, thats your choice, no ones twisting your wrist in doing otherwise.

I pointed out that a sufficient knowledge on uses of google is required to obtain desired results. Its not really easy, and its not that hard also. I never said that it magicly delivered the user with all of his answers.

next u r gonna tell me that i am cheating cause i constantly read game reviews since like from 15 years now and that that constitutes a breach of the "guess the screenshot" explicit "YOU NEED TO PLAY THE GAME" hidden (but now revealed) policy
is it ok if i played the demo or shareware version of the game by accident or should i have played the final official game and finished it b4 i can qualify to post a 'valid' answer ? hehe. do remember man, not everybody takes games at face value, for someone like me that has played a lot of games but read even more reviews, the idea of not 'thinking about what game X could be but just "guess it" if u happened to have "played it directly" ' is quite offensive.

Ok, la ne2sera. I wont subject anyone with anything uve stated above. And also remember that i never DEMANDED you to stop researching the answers, i just criticized you. I never said you can do this and cant do that.

& even if u are 100% right with ur position man, don't u think ur ad-lib rules are detrimental to keeping this thread alive?
live and let live my brother, this is the first time someone on an online forum asks others not to look for online clues for games that they don't remember directly and makes a big fuss of it. this was supposed to be fun, not "fail to guess my personal games that nobodies knows about" ;P

Again u are free in doing anything you want. I never said otherwise. Its just if ur gonna research every screeny for the result, while you dont know the name of the game, some other user, who might happen to see the screeny after youve seen it wont have the chance to post the answer (if they know the answer that is) thats why i deem it suitable to keep without researching the answers because youll end up figuring out every post. Now if all users agree, i suggest that if the screenshot isnt guessed within one day, a new screeny should be posted. Okay?

ps, i'm sorry u didn't get to play lots of games as a kid but i don't see how that fact is supposed to put a burden of conscience on my own shoulders in this regard

friendofzeus i already gave u my personal solution, i'm not convinced about the moral taboo of googling, so i'll just not post an answer for any game that is not famous, whether i know it by heart or whether i need to google it.
i'll just answer games i care about.

u play this thread game ur way, i'll play it my way but without interfering with ur gameplay.

it's as simple as that for me. it's not about anyone convincing anyone cuz that ain't working, so it's about cohabitation and having none disruptive fun both ways.
